Keita Nakamoto

 Turned to preserve his musical abilities and stage presence by his Sire, he and his sire had something of a tumultuous relationship. His Sire wanted a beautiful childe that fawned over him and was unique. Keita certainly ticked the unique box immediately with his music career soaring to lofty heights in the boom of the rock scene in the early 1980s swinging across the country. 

Starting his career in his teens, changing groups several times before settling down in the visual kei scene with a handful of other bands soaring upwards in popularity and success, Keita was known for his powerful, sensual performances onstage, while being a sweet almost shy individual off stage. A concept that was fascinating to many people, the extreme difference between off and onstage captured peoples interest.

He was both a master of guitar and his voice as the frontman of his band inspired by Versailles.

It was as the band was beginning to break ground overseas that it happened. One mysterious sponsor of the tour requested a dinner with the band. Keita saw no issue, the band all went and met with this individual who was particularly interested in Keita as the night progressed. The exact details are but a blur to Keita now, but he remembers feeling strange after a drink and then stumbling out into a car he didn't recognise, where it goes black until he woke again, this time as one of the Kindred.

It was not an easy adjustment for Keita to his new unlife. His sire was a very self-centered sort, more interested in the social points he could gather from having an unusual, though highly talented artistic choice in a child. Keita was an artiste though, one that gathered a lot of attention as he threw himself into music when he realised he didn't have the courage to walk into the sunlight like he had thought he might when he first learned what he'd become.

His sire kept him close and when he didn't do the things requested, well, Keitas sire did as he saw fit to do to him anyway. Suffice to say, Keita was over time shaped into what his sire wanted, because he didn't know what else to do, being so new and overwhelmed with the dramatic changes to his life. It was easier to do as his sire wanted, to learn to manipulate others, make nice with the other Kindred. He learned their ways over time, was forced to really in order to survive the complex politics and one man upmanship that was forever going on in Toreador circles his sire was involved in.

At the time his sire was centered in New York, and it was here that Keita first began experimenting with performing publicly again some decades after he'd first been embraced. A feat he earned through careful manipulation of his sire who he could sense was growing bored and restless, it was time for Keita to pull himself free of his controlling sire and make his own life out of the pieces left of himself, and seek what he really wanted. Freedom to do what he wanted, no matter how it came about.
