Nicky was born in Baltimore. At least, that is what he assumes because the city is the only place he has ever known. He never knew his parents, or much about how he came to be, except that he was born sometime in October.
Nicky was raised in a orphanage. He didn't stay there long He grew up on the streets which wasn't exactly an easy life for a kid. He didn't have many choices to survive, but he did.
In his teen years, he fell in with a small street gang. They were led by a hard-nosed thug named Gruber. Yeah, Gruber, like Hans Gruber from Die Hard. He was something of an asshat, but he offered wayward kids and teens a safe place to sleep and food to eat, so long as they met their thieving quota. A modern day Fagin.
Gruber turned out to be a little handsy. He didn't just beat you if you fucked up, sometimes his hands wandered to places where they shouldn't. At seventeen, Nicky had enough. Gruber died that day, ironically pushed off a building, and the Baltimore Bully Boyz were born.
