Tobias Lancaster

Tobias held a long fascination with growing plants and chemistry ever since he was a child. Growing up, he was the popular kid in school, lots of attention and thereby, a knack for causing drama, finishing it and avoiding it. He was never that ambitious at the beginning of his life. This was true up until he turned 18 when he tried weed the first time, the experience was not pleasant. He had the misfortune of his first smoke being laced with fentanyl in his OG Kush, causing substantial mental damage. He was not the same afterwards.

This profound damage to his brain made him take this news at a different light, his first time was the best he ever had. And instead of just feeling satisfied with getting more for himself, he immediately hit the streets. Before the Embrace, he worked as a dog walker and dog sitter, and by complete chance, he met his sire, Helen Broadnax. 

Helen is a neurotic clean freak who loves dogs, owning 7 dogs of different breeds. She is not very well liked among her neighbors but she could sense the already cracked perspective Tobias has within him. Like a nosy neighbor she pestered him about his interests and beliefs, not particularly caring about them in truth, only seeing if she can crack the mirror within this potential Childe. 

One night after a day of sitting Helen's dogs, upon her return, Tobias had the unfortunate luck to get caught smoking weed in her presence, she flew off in a crazy rant about how the smoke can dirty her walls and the stink of her house is going to be so hard to get rid of.  On the verge of Frenzying, Tobias took her tirade in stride, unphased by it, but there had to be satisfaction on Helen's part, and he got caught. Not wanting to have the cops called on him, he promised to clean her whole house to forebear any harsh punishments to keep his job as her dog sitter. She was pleased with how well he handled her and reaching her demands, On a whim she embraced him that night on October. 

Now as a vampire, Tobias' sire has her on speed dial and he gets frequent texts about the latest ramblings, bullshit articles that upset her that night, or Kindred lore out of the blue. He of course had to divulge his dealings and desires to become a drug dealer, and not wanting to stop her Childe from achieving his goals, she does what she can to point him in the right direction. Informing him that he cannot show his true face to mortals now, and must make deals with other fellow Kindred and keep his identity a secret.
