As the centuries passed, Markus evolved into a Cam courtier of immense wealth and taste — a banker, art collector, and political manipulator who dresses in bespoke suits and speaks with a deliberate, patient cadence.
He lives like a baroque monarch in the modern era, and that’s how he treats Aaron: not as a pawn, not as a ghoul, but as a delightful indulgence he cannot resist.
Lady Clara was once a Victorian aristocrat — born into the English gentry in the 1800s, renowned for her poise, cold beauty, and penchant for scandal. She was Embraced on the moors of Yorkshire by a Gangrel elder who saw in her both breeding and bloodlust. Clara adapted effortlessly: a lady by day, a huntress by night. She cast off titles and estates as the decades rolled on, trading them for Sabbat power, though she never let go of her noble affectations.
Now she is feared and admired as one of the Sabbat’s more refined elders — all lace gloves, icy words, and feral claws.
The Embrace: Clara picked Aaron during a Sabbat incursion into Cologne in the late ’70s. She found him delightful — feral but fashionable, a neonate who wore chaos like a crown. He reminded her of herself in her reckless youth.
Her Role: Clara raised Aaron not like a son but like a protégé. She guided him through Sabbat ritae, let him stumble and bleed, but always pulled him back from final death. To her, he’s both pet project and trophy.

From the start, Aaron had an ear for language , slipping between German, French, and English with the ease of a native. By his teenage years, he was picking up scraps of Latin from old church texts and ancient graffiti, charming priests into lending him access to libraries he had no business in.
But the real scandal was his style. In an era that demanded conformity, Aaron leaned into androgyny eyeliner, thrift-store finds turned couture, bold silhouettes that blurred gender before fashion magazines caught up. By the 2000s, Aaron’s boldness caught the attention of another power: Markus Adelrath, a German Ventrue elder embedded in Camarilla politics. Markus became Aaron’s “sugar daddy,” lavishing him with designer clothing, expensive toys, and access to Elysium circles. Their arrangement is equal parts indulgence and exploitation Aaron gets luxury, Markus gets amusement and leverage.
