History
Kadir Aydin was embraced by Alexus Simocatta in 1420. He was a companion on Alexus’ journey to the Holy Lands. His drive for knowledge and loyalty had caught Alexus’ eye. Kadir was loyal to the ended. When Alexus was assassinated in 1481 Kadir was distraught and knew not what to do with himself. He intended to find the Keeper of Faith, but had no way to track them, so he began his search across Europe. Travelling through Poland he came across another Kindred Vulogoth, in the Białowieża Forest. Vulogoth, unable to embrace childer of his own, took Kadir in to pass on his ways in Koldunic sorcery. A Werewolf assault destroyed his new sire, but at this point Kadir felt he had learned enough to become his own true self. An Entity of what he really was.
Through the decades Kadir found himself in constant struggles looking for a domain to call his own. Battles with Garou, Oradea League, Mages, growing sects. Although he was able to create a ghoul family to join him, Kadir realized Europe was becoming too small. He thought heading east might be his only option. Then his destiny was discovered, a new world. This young world would be perfect for him to create his own domain. Finally, he would be able to study and grow without a constant threat.
Kadir and his “family” traveled to North America in the mid 1500’s. It took several decades of struggle to push back the Garou that had claimed the land as their territory, but finally, he had found a place to call his domain. He constructed an small fortress deep underground incase the Garou tried to sniff him out or foolish mortals thought there might be gold. Above is fortress his ghoul family built their homestead. He spent several more decades attuning to this new and strange land, ensuring it was indeed his home and with his new home he took a new name, Zugozoth. Spending the last few centuries in constant struggle and transformation of his form. Zugozoth decided it was time to sleep he ordered his family to wake him every century, so he could decide how to proceed with his new domain and ensure no one encroached on what was rightfully his.
The small cult family was pleased to obey, however, the prosperity of their homestead brought others, new mortals looking for new opportunities and a new home. At first they were excited to have a potential to grow their numbers as worshippers of Zugozoth, but any mention of him was met with disdain and they stopped trying to grow after they were run out of their home. They almost lost the entrance to Zugozoth’s fortress but were able to work as masons and build around it to ensure that it was hidden and would not be destroyed or discovered. But because of this, the family lost control of the entrance and were unable to wake their sleeping god.
300 years later, the family, a mere shadow of what it used to be believing Zugozoth to be folklore and family tradition and superstition, like an old family heirloom treasure map. A few younger members of the family took interest in it and connected dots that others had ignored. After an entire year of searching and most of their resources exhausted, three younger members of the family found the hidden entrance, descending into the fortress. They found the monstrosity that rested there and woke it.
