Angelique Cloutier

 Angelique was born under an unlucky star it seemed. Her mother was a Rom woman who was captured, used, and abused then quickly dispatched by her father one Andrew Cloutier. Well her birth mother because the woman that he had wanted to impress since she was old enough to reason went by the name Céline. Céline taught Angelique how to sit, stand, and walk like a noble. She also taught the girl how to apply makeup to hide as much of the brown in her skin as possible. "You will need to marry one day and when you do you want to be as white as dove." Her mother said and Angelique, believing that her adoptive mother was always right at the time, followed suit. Even with the limited education that was afforded women at the time, she was quite bright and quick to learn the social rules around her.

If she had been sheltered maybe her story would have been different, maybe she would have remained a footnote in history. Her debut marked her for entry into the long-since-forgotten society The Sisterhood of the Sacred Path. One of the older women known as Oretrice Du Berry, a cousin of Madame Du Berry. "We are the ones who decide who sits on the throne, we are the ones that will do anything to defend our house." Angelique was drawn in by the promise of power of her own. If she became a part of the Sisterhood, she would have to depend on a husband to give her worth. Her adoptive mother was also happy that she had caught the eye of such a prestigious group.

When she was old enough she was told the truth of the group. They were vampires and Angelique was given the option to drink the blood and wield their magic. By that time Angelique had been fully indoctrinated, though when she agreed that was when fully started to learn. She did her best as an apprentice, working hard to impress as well as discover her own power. She realized that she was good at dissecting the person in front of her and finding places where she could take them apart. She didn't need to use her strength to do this, her words could cut just as well. She was building herself up with the Tremere when the betrayal of the Toriador happened.

Angelique had still been a fledgling and was forced to use magic that was was far beyond her skill level. She managed to add her power the ritual that was performed but not without a price. The Chantry survived but the Sisterhood was shattered. The deal with the mages pushed the Tremere out of Paris for a while and Angelique started to travel. She made it to the United States, all the while helping and gaining rank within the Tremere until she made it to Baltimore. She had heard with William among their ranks and respected him as well as Julien who was a curious figure in several points of her life. She R4 so if she's not overseeing things in Elysium she's at the Chantry, looking after the apprentices and making sure they don't get themselves killed unless it serves the clan at large.
