Getting into fights and smoking. But always with a righteous sense of justice. When things got hard for his parents, he did his first crime: a sold a pack of weed he found near school. Soon he was buying and selling for some bucks. He got arrested the first time trying to buy more. Less than one year. But a crucial moment, for in jail he would meet Roger Roof, a rebel soldier that was founding a new crime organization, a different one, more organized, more professional, rooted in alliances with external forces, trained in chain of hierarchy. He called it the First Capital Commando, and expected it to grow in the entire country. After that Hélio was doing everything, illegal loans, robbery, executions, drug trafficking, there was no limit. Before he new, he was 20 years into it, rarely doing street work, only organizing the other members into fighting the gang wars, something he kinda hated. Hélio executed a neighborhood chief that had defect for other gang and, while he cleaned the scene smoking, a voice creeps inside his ears and revealed "In the last whole year you killed one, two, three, four people, none of then were cops, none of then were strangers. You have called every one of them friends. You have become a friend killer, Hélio, that is your job now." The gang war made him paranoid already, he started to question everything. His head was so deep inside it he could not see the nonsese he was buried at. The voice kept disturbing his lack of peace, and in a way, it felt illuminating, the insults were a beacon of sanity. His partners perceived this newfound strangeness. Suddenly Hélio was playing fine a game he didn't want to win. The moment he lost control he gained it back: Hélio told everyone to fuck off and organized a bank robbery. He did it right and was enjoying a beer in the top of a hill with his partners, full of money, saying that was the last time, quit. Thinking of course, for that, he might have to kill some of his partners, so they wouldn't snitch. But everyone unanimously reacted with relief, they were hoping to quit too. That moment his sire strikes, embracing Hélio and letting his frenzied hungry beast devour his pals.  "You have learnt nothing. I told you you are a friend killer, Hélio, that is what you do!"  The man later found out he had already been snitched, it was all a trap. The following years were tough. After the embrace, he got tired of playing criminal, but also had no interest in kindred society. He hated the guts of his sire, "prophet of Pittsburgh", and his bad and unfulfilling predictions of the future. and was bored as hell. They got into a fight and Hélio was arrested on purpose in a rebellious tantrum.  In order to preserve the masquerade and retrieve his child, His sire ghouled the prison warden, Jim, who would later become his favorite child. Hélio and Jim got well together, in fact, Hélio liked Jim much more than his sire, and didn't want to leave prison at all. When Jim came up with a plan to kill their sire, Hélio followed without a doubt, finding his renewed loyalty and interest in life mixed in the last drops of vitae of the master. Hélio now trust his brother in blood with his unlife, and follow his plans into this new city. The news covered Hélio Montenegro's arrest, a wanted criminal that fled jail once.
