History
Growing up in the Laplace household, young Addaline was occasionally visited by her maternal Grandmother Jacqueline, who had been on rocky terms with the family due to her claims of being a witch and that their family had a tradition, which Addaline was in line to inherit. In the times that the two got to spend together, her grandmother told her that she had inherited something called ‘Numina’, or the ability to use Hedge Magic, making young Addaline a Hedge Witch. The young girl took to her grandmother’s training with mixed success, she showed potential, but her mother kept interfering, citing hocus pocus and restricting their visits. When Addaline asked where their family’s power came from, she was informed that Jacqueline was responsible for keeping the family’s genealogy, a subject her mother was far more accepting of.
According to her grandmother’s records their family had French ancestry, their family name coming from Pierre-Simon Laplace, a famous French scholar whose work was important to the development of engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, astronomy, and philosophy. A fact of pride for Addaline’s mother who liked to flaunt that their ancestor was the Marquis de Laplace, who taught philosophy to Napoleon Bonaparte. But the family’s records indicated a connection to another French family of noble lineage, Pierre-Simon Laplace’s son, Charles Emile de Laplace, married the daughter of Marquis de Devereaux, Maria. Old French records showed that the Devereaux family held sway in Saint Domingue, and Maria was sent back to France as a young child when the Haitian Revolution began. According to the accounts of trusted servants at the time, Maria had an older brother Claude and an older half-brother Julian, who was rumored to be an illegitimate child the Marquis had with a slave woman.
However, when in secret, her grandmother would tell her that Pierre-Simon Laplace was more than the world thought him to be, that he was a sorcerer, that his mathematics unlocked the secrets to the universe, Laplace’s Equations and the philosophy of Laplace’s Demon. Unfortunately, tragedy befell the family when shortly after Addaline’s sixteenth birthday her grandmother and mentor passed away from Wilson’s Disease. Her family were surprised to find that when the will was read Addaline only inherited a single old steamer trunk, the rest of her grandmother’s assets were sold off to cover Jacqueline’s dying medical expenses. In her grief, Addaline adopted a new style for herself, one she’d already liked from pop culture and Halloween, the Goth style, her hair was already black, but she added bright teal highlights and experimented with makeup. This annoyed her mother and entertained her father and younger siblings, who she adored and help raise as their parents were often very busy.
When her grandmother’s old steamer trunk was delivered, Addaline told her family that she’d open it privately to honor Jacqueline’s wishes, secretly she let the twins watch. What she found was her grandmother’s most cherished possessions, the most surprising amongst them were Pierre-Simon Laplace’s original handwritten manuscripts that were eventually published into his five-volume body of work, Mécanique Céleste. But, as these were the original manuscripts, they also held Laplace’s personal notes, which were mathematically coded in French. Having already been raised to speak and read French and excelling at math in school, Addaline spent the next year deciphering Laplace’s code, once done she learnt that Laplace had noted down all future holders of his manuscripts, the last two entries being Jacqueline and Addaline. The manuscripts were already bound into tomes and these now serve as Addaline’s Grimoire as she journeys to learn the secrets of the universe.
Unbeknownst to Addaline, in the first half of 2023, a strange man had come to Baltimore. This man was Christian Rex, or at least that was the name he used as a film director back in the ‘70s. He had always had a nihilistic personality, something he expressed through his films and is what drew the attention of the Kindred that embraced him. Unfortunately for Rex, his sire abandoned him as Caitiff, this only fueled Rex’s nihilism and ultimately caused his film career to spiral into oblivion. But this did not abate Rex’s ego, considering his own paltry body of work akin to classical high art. Over the years he drifted from city to city, constantly casted out by Kindred society, further fueling his nihilism. When he arrived in Baltimore, he was chased out of the docks by a commie mobster, so he tried to seek shelter at the Homewood Elysium, where he meet the Keeper Angelique Cloutier. Rex introduced himself in his usual ego-centric fashion, touting his film career, but sadly the lady recognized him two-fold, both as a Caitiff and she had heard that his films were universally panned by critics and audiences alike. Lady Cloutier chose to cast the bothersome Caitiff out of her Elysium, but what stung Rex to his core was when Angelique called his film work garbage and that there was no place for his kind of ‘Trash’ here. What Rex failed to realize was that she wasn’t calling him trash but using the Kindred nickname for Caitiff. But to have his films called garbage and him trash… Rex flew off the handle with a tirade of insults, getting him forcibly ejected from Homewood, he left vowing vengeance.
A few months later Addaline was celebrating her high school graduation, partying with her friends and hanging out at her usually gaming venue, Natural 20 Gaming Café. Having scored exemplary marks in mathematics, her parents got her a graduation present, the latest model MG ZS EV electric car, and her father made sure to get it in metallic Teal to match her highlights. Unaware to Addaline though was that Rex had witnessed her jovial celebrations. For a week he watched her, seeing her bright and cheerful personality, her happy home and loving parents, and he devised a new film, the dying of her light, a film that would prove to all that nihilism is the only true philosophy. One evening, after leaving a post-graduation party, Addaline was jumped in a fast-food parking lot, when she awoke, she found herself bound to a pipe in a dirty old garage.
Her head throbbed and there was a strange pounding sound in her ears, her mouth was dry, and her body felt dulled, yet her senses were incredibly sharp. Although there was very little light, she was strangely able see exceedingly well, colors were oddly vibrant, and she could sniff a hint of cheap cologne from somewhere. But her immediate concern, other than having been kidnapped, was the near-unbearable hunger pangs she was feeling. Looking around she saw a few cameras had been set up at different angles to record her, this worried Addaline somewhat. Knowing her parents are well-off, she figured the kidnapper may be after a ransom, but with this array of cameras… she had other concerns. Plus, what had this person already done to her, drugged her maybe… her clothes where dirty but otherwise fine. She saw that the garage windows had been blacked out and that someone was sleeping in the parked sedan, likely her assailant.
When Rex rose that evening, he found his newly embrace childe still bound where he’d left her, but she was already awake and looking at him as he climbed from his car. Approaching her, she asked who he was and what he wanted, he answered with his usual cinematic flair, that he was Rex! Her Sire, the one who dragged her from the light and made her into a creature of darkness, forever shunned and destined to feast upon the blood of humanity! Addaline nearly burst out laughing at his flamboyant over-acting, only managing to stifle it to a snicker. Rex wasn’t amused when she considered him funny, even having been kidnapped and embraced hadn’t dulled her cheerful personality. For a week Rex instructed Addaline in the rudimentary basics of surviving as a vampire, something the young woman found intriguing, yet she was still his prisoner. She was disgusted at having to feed on humans, but ultimately accepted that she had to, and to Rex’s lament, she refused to kill and only fed to survive, never taking more than needed. When she asked what the pounding sound in her ears was, he told her that is was her Beast, her darker instincts that needs to be fed and will only accept the blood of humans. She did find that the pounding sound subsided after feeding.
During that week, Addaline tried a number of times to escape her captor, but she found that her sire was far quicker and stronger than her, beating her as punishment. But, on one escape attempt she tried her Hedge Magic and to her surprise it had changed, almost like becoming a vampire had altered her magic. Before, her abilities were like parlor tricks, now she found focus and clarity, both of though and action, gone was her ‘Numina’, replaced by something else, something her mathematical mind better comprehended. When Rex noticed her strange behavior he pressed her for answers, she only said that her grandmother was Wiccan. This excited Rex, spouting her as a Witch, a harlot of darkness, and that embracing her was destiny. Yet, regardless of what Rex tried to do to Addaline, strangely enough she wouldn’t break, she accepted her change and it even made her happier. To Rex this was all wrong, she was supposed to feel sorrow, grief, mourn her sunlit days, wallow in loathing for the tragic thing she’s become. If he couldn’t break her under the pretext of what she had become, then he’d mold her into a monster of the night with what he would make her do.
Maintaining a tight control over the girl, the following week Rex took her out to other locations to ‘train her’. He tried to get her to hunt people… she refused. When he commanded her to terrorize a woman in the park… she spoke with the woman and made a friend. Each time Addaline twisted his orders into an act of kindness or nicety, he failed to notice that he’d been pulling clumps of his own hair out. His only marginal success was when he ordered her to kill a homeless man, informing the girl that he was dying anyway. Tenderly she examined the old hobo before draining him dry, finally Rex thought he’d made progress, but when Addaline stood, she spoke of mercy and a peaceful rest from pain. Rex fumed, his eyes bloodshot, he began to take out his frustrations on a dumpster, until he felt her hand on his shoulder and her voice in his ear, telling him that it was alright, that he could let go of his anger, his ego… Oddly enough, her touch and words annoyingly calmed him down, but he could never let go of his ego, it was all he had left, and his ego had just the task for his ward.
Having prepared cans of gasoline and Molotov cocktails, Rex ordered his childe to firebomb and burn down the site of his recent humiliation, Homewood. Addaline was shocked, she had never thought of doing something like that, she pleaded with Rex to reconsider citing that it was a historic building and innocent people were inside. Her sire told her that those inside were Kindred like them, other creatures of evil and darkness, and that he demanded this of her. She was dumbfounded at his demand, saying that regardless of the natures of those inside they were still people, she fervently refused his order as she ran off. One thing she had learnt from her sire was his quickness as she was gone before he realized, despondent Rex returned to the garage that evening feeling utterly defeated. He sat outside on the cold concrete, contemplating his abject failure of an existence, not noticing the time passing as the night sky slowly brightened. In his nihilistic self-loathing Rex saw the sunrise one last time.
When Addaline ran, she had no direction in mind, she just ran, for some reason (possibly Stockholm Syndrome) she found herself back at the garage she’d been captive in. The following night she rose to find she felt oddly lighter, like a weight had been lifted. Upon stepping outside she found a pile of ash that held her sire’s charred watch, and she knew that both her and her sire were now free.
Having been freed from her captor, Addaline contemplated returning home, but she wondered how she’d explain her new condition. That night she stood on the hill overlooking her family home, struggling with what to do, then she heard a voice nearby. When she turned, she saw a middle-aged man, bald and wearing an odd white robe, he was pale under the night sky, but she could tell that he seemed to have a Mediterranean complexion. Addaline was understandably nervous, having already been kidnapped once, but the man bore a strange calmness to him, and when he spoke it was like he was speaking from a place of serenity. He introduced himself as Jerome, a fellow Kindred who happened to have observed her sire’s attempted “training”. For witnessing Addaline’s selfless and caring heart and her firm grasp of her humanity, Jerome offered to properly teach her. To teach her in the ways of the Children of Osiris.
For a month the two of them traveled the country, Jerome instructing her in the struggles that all Kindred share in maintaining their Humanity. Eventually, they arrived at a hidden location that not even Addaline could recall, a secretly built temple to Osiris, presided over by the regional Undying King. At the temple she was formerly inducted as an acolyte where she began more training, but unlike her sire’s training, this was peaceful, meditative and tranquil. There she made a few friends and learnt the ways of Osiris, though she did not enjoy having to shave her head every night. And there she stayed for nearly a year until she was visited by Jerome and the Undying King. She was told that she was a dutiful acolyte and a truly kind soul, so she would be given a choice, she could stay at the temple and abandon her old life to further her understanding of their faith’s philosophy and rise in station. Or she could leave with the King’s blessing, serving the temple as a hidden agent and possibly seeing her family again, but she could be hunted by the temple’s enemies as the Serpents had slithered everywhere. That night Addaline chose to leave.
However, returning home to her family proved far more taxing as she had been missing for a year. Her family flipped out when she suddenly arrived back home, wearing a strange white robe. Addaline was bombarded with questions from her family as well as the police, she gave an edited account of the events in her statement to the cops, omitting anything supernatural, and stating that her captor had released her then set himself on fire. She further explained that due to the trauma of her kidnapping that she made her way to a “Spiritual Retreat” to heal, she would have called but they had a strict “No Contact” policy. Thankfully, her overly protective mother shoed the cops away and let her rest. The following few days Addaline moved her bedroom into her parent’s basement, bricking up the small windows to prevent her mother from “opening the curtains”. Her younger twin siblings were of course concerned for their big sister, but to reassure them she let them in on the secret of what she’d become, it became their own little game. The police had retrieved her car from where it was left, and her father had collected it from the impound yard, it had sat in their garage so long her parents were about to sell it. Her father was deeply concerned for his daughter, saying he’d scoured the city, he’d spoken to her friends and the folks at Natural 20 searching for her. And her mother was using her legal acumen to hound the police in their search. But, after a heartfelt conversation with her parents they felt reassured that their girl was fine, chalking up her new change of behavior to her traumatic experience.
Now Addaline wonders what her new future will entail, either way it will be exciting.

History
If she had been sheltered maybe her story would have been different, maybe she would have remained a footnote in history. Her debut marked her for entry into the long-since-forgotten society The Sisterhood of the Sacred Path. One of the older women known as Oretrice Du Berry, a cousin of Madame Du Berry. "We are the ones who decide who sits on the throne, we are the ones that will do anything to defend our house." Angelique was drawn in by the promise of power of her own. If she became a part of the Sisterhood, she would have to depend on a husband to give her worth. Her adoptive mother was also happy that she had caught the eye of such a prestigious group.
Angelique had still been a fledgling and was forced to use magic that was was far beyond her skill level. She managed to add her power the ritual that was performed but not without a price. The Chantry survived but the Sisterhood was shattered. The deal with the mages pushed the Tremere out of Paris for a while and Angelique started to travel. She made it to the United States, all the while helping and gaining rank within the Tremere until she made it to Baltimore. She had heard with William among their ranks and respected him as well as Julien who was a curious figure in several points of her life. She R4 so if she's not overseeing things in Elysium she's at the Chantry, looking after the apprentices and making sure they don't get themselves killed unless it serves the clan at large.

History
What happened over the next few years is best left to the shadows. Vile, unspeakable acts. The best left unsaid, the better. The only thing that kept Auriel alive was their looks and genial attitude. Auriel saw all too many peers disposed of. Then one day a man walked into the viper's den, a man who would prove Auriel's salvation and damnation.
After a short negotiation, Auriel's captors were quickly and summarily dispatched by the stranger. Auriel never saw exactly what happened, but the screams told them enough. The handsome stranger opened Auriel's cage, extended a hand, and took Auriel 'home'.
Over the next 20 years Auriel was made into a doll, companion, canvas, ottoman, and whatever else satisfied their master's whims. There were times Auriel was dressed in fabulous clothes and made to stand quiet and still while his master talked with other pale imposing individuals. And times when Auriel was made to bear their master's frustration when things did not go just right at such a gathering. Auriel was fed from and forced to feed from their master. And their body reshaped into the image of the perfect lover by a Tzimisce acquaintance of the master.
Through it all, much as before, Auriel endured and remained demure and charming. It was for these reasons their sire finally felt the time was right for the embrace. Auriel was made a vampire, though the blood bond ensured he would love their sire passionately and dutifully.
All of that changed on the worst night of Auriel's life, which given the horror's they had faced until now was saying a lot. Darian, their sire, returned home from court looking in the full throws of frenzy. The rest of the night was a blur of violence and non-consent. Any pleas or attempts at concern were met with a hard smack. Had Auriel been mortal, even a ghoul, they surely would have been killed.
The next night, while Darian was out looking for a way to 'make up for what he'd done' that Auriel finally worked up enough courage and self-control to run away. It took every ounce of Auriel's limited willpower to do it, but he did it. He packed a bag and ran, finally ending up in Baltimore before first light. Auriel couldn't even look at the messages on his phone. Even the most degrading and insulting texts would be like a siren song pulling at Auriel to go home. But he just can't. Not now. Hopefully not ever.

History
Aya was born Anette Delaceur on a plantation outside New Orleans. Her mother had been a slave on the plantation and her father was a lecherous French-American owner of that plantation. There's was not a cruel existence, however, and her mother chose not to leave their life when slavery was ended and the Confederacy lost the war. Besides that, she had been having a secret affair with the plantation owner for years and had enjoyed a luxurious position within the household, much to the chagrin of the owner's ailing wife, who had never provided him with children. Anette was her third child with the former slave owner.
After renting her services and getting her interested in the history of Egypt, he eventually revealed himself to her. He ghouled her and she became a servant in the local temple. She spent three years as his ghoul, showing much promise, and was embraced on her 21st birthday. She renamed herself Aya Naida at that time, cutting out all connection with her previous, mortal life.
Not long after being embraced, the temple in New Orleans was targeted by hunters and she and Atiq were forced to flee. They went to Chicago. The temple in that city was small, not as stepped in history as the New Orleans one had been, but it was home while they were there. When the Columbian World Fair came in 1893, she performed at night in the Streets of Cairo exhibit. A year later, the same hunters that targeted them in New Orleans routed the temple in Chicago, which prompted them to flee to Alexandria, Egypt. Atiq had become enamored with the idea of returning to the country after the fair, anyway. In Alexandria, she learned to read hieroglyphics and really delved into the history of the Followers of Set, and the mythology they were a part of. She gained her affinity for snakes there, using snake charming acts to lure unwitting tourists.
At some point, she pissed off the elder that ran the temple in Alexandria, and while she survived the conflict, her and Atiq were sent away, and the destination they chose was Haiti.
1923 - 1971
The Setites had one of the Haitian islands to themselves, and the temple on it was truly something to behold. In some ways, she felt closer to Set there than she ever had in Egypt. That said, it was a tumultuous existence because the Serpents of the Light also had a foothold in Haiti and the two sects were in constant conflict. There was time in between to begin developing, beginning to choose a different path, one that she felt was complimentary to her duty to prepare for Set's return. This caused conflict with her sire, who had imagined a different path for her, and she and he began to grow apart.
In the late 1960s, there was a culmination of conflict with the Serpents of the Light. Aya had forged a friendship, unknowingly, with a vampire that was secretly one of their ranks. She had been a pawn in their scheme to infiltrate the Setite temple. It turned into all-out war, and the Masquerade was broken. The Camarilla was pissed, the Sabbat were pleased, and the Followers of Set were hellbent on purging the Serpents. Aya was almost forced into torpor for her part. The temple was abandoned, and Aya almost left Atiq then. Instead, she went with him to Montreal and watched him get enamored with Simon.
When Atiq embraced Simon, Aya decided it was time for her to go out on her own.
1971 - 1995
She went back to Chicago, but the temple was still dead there. She traveled along the West coast, picking up a ghoul in San Francisco along the way. A young, smart woman named Sydney. They lived in LA for a time, but when she went to embrace Sydney, she learned she had infertile vitae, and her ghoul perished in the attempt. Sadness ensued, and she took off into the American southwest, attempting to set up her own cults along the way. The Salton Sea, Phoenix, Tuscon, Santa Fe, El Paso...a trail of blood and failure, abandoned temples either due to hunters, Sabbat, or the Camarilla not wanting her present. In one particular case, it was her own followers that turned against her and drove her out, though she was fairly certain they were influenced by someone.
1995 - 2022
She made her way across Texas and back into Louisiana where it all began. Over 100 years after they had been forced to leave the New Orleans temple, it was mostly abandoned. The Camarilla had control of the city. Her presence was controversial, but she eventually got into good graces with the Prince there and was allowed domain to get the temple up and running again. She began with ghouls, and then attracted young Setites, building a cult of neonates, and then began spreading the token corruption of the clan into the city. Instead of rocking the boat, she let it be a slow burn this time.
At the end, she and another Setite came into conflict, and due to her history with the Serpents of the Light, she was convinced that they had infiltrated her cult. She lost the ensuing fight, and the rest of the cult sided with the other vampire. Rather than be torpored, she fled the city with her last loyal ghoul, and headed for the last known location of her sire's other childe, Simon. Maybe he could use some help with his own cult? After all, what are big sisters for if not to support their younger siblings?

But all good things end. They went out for dinner on Valentines day, and they witnessed a 'mugging' so Robert and Barbara went in to try and stop it. They didn't even see the shovels coming until it was too late. When Barbara woke up, she was six feet deep into the ground with a splitting headache and starving. Managed to dig herself out, but refused to leave the graveyard without her husband and dug for him. She only found some of his clothes and his ring. Barbara has assumed him dead as he would not have left her or taken off his ring.
Since then Barbra has committed her immortal nights to finding out any information about who turned her and her husband and then killing them for ruining her life. Happily plays ball with any sect that has information to offer her, and once she's given a job she's like a dog on the bone.

Eventually, though, her passionate activism crumbled as her failing health once more forced her to come crawling back to her family. She fell into a deep depression as her family shuttered her away once more for her health and the illness wracked her body. The family doctor did everything he could to cure her but her illness was far too great and her family had expected her to die, furthering her crumbling mental health. She wrote poems of death and painted images of a hell made of machinery. She was doomed to die much like many painters of her time.
However, Doctor Alan saw her art as a reflection of a truly visionary mind. Maybe if fate had been different she would have been embraced by a toreador. But instead, Doctor Alan offered her a chance to continue on. To see even more of the world and to create works beyond her current understanding. Of course, the dying woman had no real choice. She couldn't suck in enough air to say no, anyway.
After her embrace, Beatrix took her family's wealth and decided she'd have to make a new life for herself somewhere else- far from England. She fled to the United States in 1870 without Doctor Alan and set up her home in the state of Maryland do to it's closeness to the sea and proximity to the capital. She did continue activism in the background of her work but as time stretched on she grew older, her work becoming more abstract. She had become loyal to the Camarilla do to it's structure and security but found herself in Noddist circles that the Tower typically rejected. Her art had become strange and collectors seemed to scramble for it the longer that she produced it. In modern nights she claims to "discover lost works" and sells them or leaves them in art galleries.

Beatrix Thorne is a large monster of a woman, mute, with a special interest in bugs of all manner. She was always a loner. She could never get along with other people growing up. Not because she was mute. No it was because she was just a weirdo. Why spend time with people when you could go around messing with trees, and bugs. When she was very young some of the kids would stay around her, but as she got older between her oddities and being queer she secluded herself more and more. She started getting into fights, it was the best way to keep people off her back, by pushing them away first. Making distance.
It wasn't long until she felt like the only thing she had were those special interests. Arthropods, spiders, insects, even crabs had such interesting social groups.
Eventually she decided to settle on apiology. She wanted to study bees, have a little apiary at home. Maybe she would sell it, do this work professionally. Whatever the case, she never really had the chance to move on to anything like that.
After graduation Beatrix went into work. She wasn't able to find a job doing what she wanted, but at the end of a day, when you need somewhere to live job is a job. Going home at night took a long walk, you could rarely decide where you wanted to live. She kept a knife on her for self defense, but this one night it wouldn't make a difference.
A beast attacked her. She did everything she could to fight it, elbowing it, pulling its hair. She did her best to fight back, getting in a slash, and a stab, but there was no way she could over power it. The beast sank its teeth into her, and began to drink deeply from her.
Then she woke up dead.
The embrace was pain. Hell. Fire going through her veins and bones and muscle as the change changed her. More bestial, even larger than she was before.
At first, she was pissed, then she talked to her new sire. The sire didn't know ASL, but they were able to talk through their phones.
Once she got used to being a vampire she rather liked it. She was already a loner, and the reclusive life style really fit her. She liked the strength, though the new height could make things annoying if not just much more difficult. Hell on earth trying to be a girl who's taller than Shaq.
After years of unlife she was able to make something for herself. She was finally going to have her apiary that she dreamed of, but she already knew what would happen. She took one taste of it, and knew right away her fears had become real. One of the things she learned early, was the taste of ash. She hoped, that some how honey wouldn't... She was not that fortunate.
Recently she's begun experimenting, perhaps there's a way to fix this. *Perhaps.*

Born in Miami Florida on March 5th, 1992 Brigid was never truly given a happy family. She had dreams of something else but they always faded into harsh reality when she awoke. Her mother was from a family of fairly well off Irish Immigrants named Amanda Walsh and her father was an African American whose family had always been in the area named Robert Porter. They were a family for five years, during which Brigid grew up learning the basics of catholicism and her father’s job as a dock worker. But while they were happy from Brigid’s perspective at the time, every night after she went to sleep in her tiny room they would argue relentlessly. They occasionally woke her up screaming, but she would slam her pillows around her ears and ignore it, they were happy and that was that. She would wake up every morning around the same time and act like everything was fine.
That was around the time that a man started openly visiting Amanda. Frank was a tall man from an old aristocratic family that clearly desired Brigid’s mother, and gave the young girl a critical eye. Brigid remembers her father Robert crying a lot around that time.
Amanda eventually came to an agreement with Robert for the last time and they asked Brigid who she would like to stay with. That mommy and daddy were separating. Brigid tried for a full thirty minutes to convince them to stay together, but eventually she tearfully leapt into her mother’s arms. Brigid remembered looking back while they drove away from Robert’s modest home, seeing her father break down crying while he lost everything.
When Brigid arrived at Frank's home with her mother, they were immediately greeted by a Butler who introduced them to the Walker estate. Brigid remembered feeling a sense of dread and terror while looking at rows of patches of bare earth, crumbling planks of wood occasionally poking out of grass and wild cotton. They were far out of the way of the fancy walkway to the front of the mansion, but Brigid still saw those remains. She'd never get the image out of her head.
But when they entered the mansion proper, Brigid felt like a Princess from one of the stories her mother liked to read to her. She ran up the stairs and gasped at all the beautiful decorations, the tasteful furnishings, and the excess plastering every wall. She had grinned at her tired looking mother.
Then a sharp voice rang out, and Brigid had gotten her first taste of who Frank Walker really was. He had scolded the five year old for smudging up his floors, and then dressed down Amanda in front of her child about her shameful parenting. He made it clear to both of them that he had standards that they would meet, especially when Amanda had his own children. Brigis would be enrolled at a new expensive preschool. He had implied that she thought she would need the help. Brigid had looked to her mother for guidance, but Amanda had looked lost. She had nothing to give her daughter in that moment.
They had at least continued their routine that week of Amanda reading Brigid a bedtime story before bed every night. They were varied, and often new. They weren't the worn out old picture books the girl was used to. But still, it made Brigid happy. And that seemed to make a world of difference to Amanda.
However, after that first bedtime story Brigid began to be acclimated to her new lifestyle. There were many new rules, requirements, and customs she had to follow or be punished by Frank.
She couldn't play in the House outside of her room or other specified areas, she could never shout, she couldn't play with her old toys, she had to spend much of her time being “productive”, there were new clothes she had to wear (which they spent a full three days shopping for), and she was required to listen to a new minder that would teach her manners.
It was suffocating to Brigid, who had always flourished under the freedoms Robert and Amanda had always allowed her before.
But there was a bright spot. Among the dusty tomes and boring lessons she was forced to learn, something called out to the young woman. Tales of chivalry. It was odd for a young child to take such an avid interest in such things, but immediately after being exposed to it Brigid was every bit as excited about Sir Galeheut as she was about her favorite children’s stories like Flopsy Rabbit. Tales of adventure became her favorite things to listen to every night. Her mother smiled while telling her about how Gawain had impressed the Green Knight, or how Percival met the Fisher King, or Roland had defeated Mandricardo. Her daughter’s giggles were a balm to her, as she faced a life she had not expected when Frank had proposed to her. She was already with Brigid’s little sibling.
It was around this time that Brigid started going to the most prestigious preschool that would take her. Sacred Heart Preschool was the most boring thing that Brigid had ever endured. The snacks were few, the naptime far too long, and they actually tried to teach her stuff. She would fidget in class, excitedly talk to classmates about her favorite stories, and generally make a nuisance of herself. She did not fit. She did not cry though, because her mother had told her that she looked dashing in her uniform. Instead she endured. She put on a smile.
Still after the first week, news of her bad behavior reached the Walker home. Frank had locked her in her room without dinner after dragging her there by her arm…when Amanda had tried to stop him Brigid heard the sound she would come to hate with all of her soul for the first time. A loud smack, and the sound of her beloved mother’s body hitting the ground before she picked herself up. Brigid didn’t understand at the time, why weren’t they shouting? For all that mommy and daddy had yelled, she’d never heard a sound like that.
When Brigid woke up the next day there was an ugly mark on her mother's face. She had hugged her mother, and pretended not to see the tears sliding down her cheeks. Her mother had apologized for reasons that Brigid didn't quite understand at the time. All she knew then was that she wanted to make her feel better.
Brigid was signed up for pre-Ballet as a punishment for her bad behavior and masculine interests. Frank made sure to find the strictest teacher he could. He wanted to make sure his stepdaughter grew up properly feminine and this was one of the ways he intended to do it.
Brigid didn't enjoy pre-Ballet. She saw the cool things her teacher could do, and all she could learn were stretches and about how to move to music. She would frequently get distracted, and she was punished each time. With time outs, the withholding of that day's snacks, or just being yelled at. She hated it.
It was also around this time that her mother and Frank got properly married. Brigid's mother was showing by then, and Brigid remembered liking the rehearsals. She got to go up and down the walkway and many of the staff would comment about how adorable she was. She soaked in the positive attention.
She had a few more weeks of terrible preschool and pre-ballet lessons before the full wedding.
The positive attention was gone. When Brigid served as the flower girl this time, she remembered that the full side of the aisle were glaring at her when she laid down the flowers. Like her very existence offended them. She hated it.
Brigid remembered crying that night, but her mother wasn't around to comfort her. Instead two elderly people Brigid didn't recognize approached her and hugged her, taking her to their table where they sat alone and playing with her. They looked sad when Brigid mentioned some of her mother’s own crying but didn't comment, instead they told her that they were her grandparents. They loved her, and would be there for her so long as they were alive. They actually had plans to move closer to her. Brigid had grinned at both of them.
For a while after that however, Brigid was once again alone in that big house. It seemed her mom had less and less time for her as her belly got bigger and bigger. The young girl remembered being so damn lonely. None of the staff would play with her and she didn't even know how to read yet. She just spent time playing make believe on the estate. She would normally imagine herself as the gallant knight saving the damsel in distress. She had flashes of inspiration then, calling herself Lancelot.
When Brigid’s little brother was born, she remembered looking at him and thinking he was so small. When she got to hold him for the first time, she had wanted to protect him. She had accidentally called him a different name before her mother had gently corrected her and said he was William.
Brigid turned six soon after that, and entered kindergarten proper. It was another expensive school where she wasn't all that well liked. She was the only girl with her skin color there, and all the other children would avoid her. So once again she always made her own fun.
Back home Brigid would spend more time with her mother as they looked after her little brother together. Amanda had asked Brigid to look after her little brother. Brigid had agreed, and to her it had all the weight of a sworn Oath from one of her stories.
Over the next two years, William grew up and Brigid had seen two other siblings born. Another little brother named Percival/Percy and a little sister named Heather.
Brigid would lead them all on adventures as each got old enough. Frank would occasionally punish Brigid for how much she guided his children, but he was never actually able to keep her away for long. Brigid had promised, and she loved them.
Finally, as Brigid began to confidently read her stories on her own she began to go into actual Ballet. The instructor was strict as well, but she took a genuine interest in seeing each of her students improve. And unlike the last one she didn't seem to favor the white girls over Brigid. In fact as Brigid improved in leaps and bounds she took a special interest in her.
It was also in this era that Frank struck Brigid for the first time, and she finally understood what he had been doing to her mother. She had lead Percy on an adventure and he had gotten a scraped knee. When they came back crying, Brigid had gotten a sharp swat across the cheek. She remembered thinking how much it hurt and how he had never seemed so angry when she had gotten hurt. She had a bruise that no one commented on in school the next morning.
But Brigid continued to grow into middle school and grew strong and increasingly beautiful. For the first time she got something close to positive attention from her classmates that had reviled and bullied her before. It was unnerving to her, and she asked her mother what to do. Her mother had been steadily losing confidence for years now but was still enough of herself to tell Brigid to find true friends that loved her for her, and not because of her physical appearance. Brigid had taken it to heart, remembering the tales of how Knights would strengthen their hearts and reject temptation.
So Bridid did not make many friends during this period, and soon enough the childlike interest turned to harassment that her school did little about. Brigid even got into fights more than once, which she was always punished for.
Her etiquette classes got harsher around that time and her Ballet training got for more intense.
All throughout this Brigid was a rock for her siblings. Whenever they would be punished she would try and bear the brunt of it. Whatever blame they would bring to themselves she would take if she could. And as Amanda grew increasingly withdrawn, Brigid would try and guide them however she could. She would read to them at night, help them get in shape, listen to their problems, and play with them for hours. Brigid quickly became their favorite person, and they hated how their father treated her.
Then Brigid graduated from Middle School and became a freshman in highschool, and things changed again. Brigid actually made some friends and got even more attention than before. She wasn't just the most beautiful girl in school, but her coloration and exceptional athleticism made her exotic to a lot of the boys and some of the girls in Saint John's High School. Some even started to come out to see her Ballet Recitals…including Frank. Brigid’s stepfather began to become increasingly possessive of her. He would turn away any male friends she made and closely inspect her progress as a ballerina. He even came along with her and Amanda to help her pick out a new tutu once…it all made Brigid’s skin crawl. When Brigid’s Ballet instructor caught him staring at her the two had a massive argument that landed Brigid in a different Ballet studio.
The woman who had guided Brigid in her athleticism and driven her to succeed told her to stay strong, that one day she would fly free. Brigid had cried then.
But at least her new Ballet studio was next to a park. It was nice to go out there before and after practice. Just being alone with her thoughts had been a rarity for her in those days. Then she came upon a group of knights clashing in the grass.
A bunch of boys from local colleges and highschools were clashing in make believe battles with mock armor and weapons. The sight of it fascinated her.
She had lately begun to give up on her old stories of chivalry. It increasingly felt like that dream that was too far out of her grasp. Her gilded cage barred the way to the shining star of that ideal.
But still, it became a habit of hers to go out and watch them after practice. She often made excuses to Frank about why she was out for longer.
Eventually, one of the boys noticed her watching them and approached her. He took off his helmet to reveal long blonde hair and handsome features. He introduced himself as Leon and asked if she wanted to join them. Brigid had agreed on the condition that she would get to fight. She wanted to be a knight, not a princess. Leon had laughed and agreed.
Soon Brigid was in a spare set of armor and fighting at Leon's side. It was among the best days of her life. She had laughed genuinely for the first time in forever.
She was late enough coming home that day that it had become night, and wearing a massive smile. Amanda had warned her to be more careful, they were lucky Frank hadn’t been around to see it. Brigid ran into her little sister Heather on her way to bed…Heather had begged Brigid to keep doing whatever made her so happy. It was the happiest she had ever seen her big sister. Brigid had promised that she would. She never broke a promise if she could help it.
Brigid came back to the reenactments as often as she could, even on days she did not have Ballet. She would make up excused to Frank about where she had been, eventually making an elaborate lies about an after-school club. He had warned her to be careful about any boys in her cooking class. They would try and take what didn't belong to them.
Brigid and Leon got closer and closer. He invited her over to his family's home for dinner (which was actually almost as nice as Frank's), he helped her get fitted for her own set of armor (he promised that he would hold onto it for her when she got scared of taking it home), and he even signed her up for his own HEMA classes (she quickly excelled and became one of the best in the class in a year)
Brigid blossomed and became far more confident and happy than she had ever been in her life. Halfway through her junior year of highschool she even cut and dyed her hair without permission. The fallout was legendary, but Brigid had had it up to here with Frank and her school’s bullshit rules. Everytime they tried to dye her hair back to black, she would find a way to return it to her preferred white color. It was like reality was conspiring to assist her. Eventually she just learned to live with detention on weekends.
Brigid’s siblings loved the new her however, and they cheered her on when she told them about HEMA and the reenactments. They even started calling Leon her boyfriend. She blushed at it…but Leon didn’t stop them.
Brigid had her first kiss shortly afterwards. It was the most magical moment of her life. She had told him she wanted to spend her life with him then. Leon had told her he would protect her. Brigid had cried at that.
Leon learned why Brigid had cried at his words on her prom night. She had asked him to take her, and he had gone to pick her up from her house. Her mother had been beaming when she saw how they interacted.
Then Frank had come downstairs, drunk off his ass. He had called Leon a fag, and declared Brigid belonged to him. He had actually put a hand on Brigid then, touching her in a way she clearly didn't appreciate. And when Leon saw the way Brigid had flinched, understanding had finally come to him. Everyone got to see Leon knock Frank on his ass and leave with his girlfriend. They didn't go to prom. Instead the two of them had spent a night in their park, walking alone. Brigid had confessed everything, and Leon had promised her that she wouldn't have to be there for much longer…when she turned eighteen in a month he would figure something out, he promised.
Brigid stayed with Leon for a week after that. But when Frank had come with a Warrant, she was forced to go back home.
That night he came into her room, and things ended with Brigid kicking Frank into the wall and leaving with everything she thought she needed to survive.
She slept under a highway overpass that night. She had been thinking that she could just stay out on the streets until she came of age, and then she could live with Leon and his parents. She had no clue what she would do to survive but she was sure she could figure something out.
She nearly froze to death that first night, but someone had put a blanket on her by the time she woke up. She saw what she considered an unlikely savior. Her father, Robert Porter.
He told her his story when she woke up. He had taken to drinking after her mother and her had left, and frankly he was glad she had not seen him like that. Eventually he lost his job, his home, and everything else. He hadn't been able to see his daughter ever again, and he had despaired. But somehow he had kept on living on the streets. He had friends now, and he made money where he could and dumpster dived where he couldn't.
Brigid had in turn shared why she was on the streets. Robert had looked nothing short of horrified. He had not been able to hide his relief when she told him that she had a place to stay when she turned eighteen though.
He made her attend what little school she had left, but otherwise Robert let her come live with him and his friends for a bit. Brigid saw the depths of their need and her heart had broken, but none of them had seemed angry with her. Instead they seemed glad that Robert’s daughter had a place that she was going to go back to. It wasn't the worst thing Brigid had ever experienced. Not by a long shot.
Eventually Leon found her after two weeks. Despite Brigid being filthy, smelling like garbage, and more than a little disheveled he had kissed her on the spot. Robert had come out and shook his hand.
Leon and Brigid had cuddled by the trash fire while everyone talked about how to get Brigid out. But the girl in question kept doubting the plans, she was worried about her siblings. What would happen to them without her? Would they suffer as she had?
Leon had asked her then, what her siblings would want for her. Would William, Percy, and Heather really be okay with Brigid suffering for them their entire lives? Brigid remembered how happy Heather had been for her after she met Leon, and how all three of them (and even Amanda) had been ecstatic when they realized how happy Leon made her. Brigid had given in then. She had called her grandparents and told them where she was going then and there. She asked them to visit and check on her siblings as much as possible in the future.
For the next week, Leon visited Brigid and Robert every day. He wouldn't leave her side except when absolutely necessary.
When the time finally came Brigid had been accepted into Leon's house with open arms, his parents soon began talking about welcoming her into the family. Brigid had stammered and blushed, but her wonderful boyfriend had intervened, saying that they weren't quite ready for that.
Brigid and Leon began to plan attending college together, both of them had excellent grades as well as extracurriculars, and the Almrs (Leon's family) had more than a little bit of money.
The two decided to go to the university of Maryland so they could stay together.
They spent two years there, getting through their bachelors degrees together. Leon wanted to go into medieval European history while Brigid couldn't decide if she wanted to be a fitness instructor or go into humanitarian work. (As inspired by her father’s plight.)
During this time Brigid’s old idealism grew stronger and stronger, and everyone could see she was building to something, becoming something more. Leon even told her that without someone holding her down, Brigid was becoming who she was always meant to be. She had kissed him immediately after he said that.
Eventually Leon had gotten the idea to do a few semesters abroad in France together with Brigid. Brigid had instantly agreed, having never really been outside the country before…besides. Somethings called to her across the ocean.
But that is when things finally went wrong again. Something kept canceling their cruise to France, and people began following Leon. They asked him strange questions. He even got mugged. Brigid quickly began to get worried.
One time when the two were walking back to their apartment, someone attacked them. Brigid managed to fight them off with a lead pipe, skillfully and quickly. Someone had taken an interest in her then.
There was a woman by the name of Humaira Azad. She was a Cainite, and daughter of Adonai. She had been asked by a Lasombra to assess Brigid Porter as her Childer. When she had seen her fight the Dominated Mugger off, she had grown interested. When she had learned about how Brigid protected her siblings she grew fascinated. When she found out Brigid knew almost as much about the crusades as her boyfriend…well the woman became rabid.
She had cornered Brigid when she was alone one night, and asked her fervent desire was. The young woman had told her to fuck off. Humaira had read her mind and learned she wanted a family.
Brigid would never forget the words: “If you want a Family, then I shall give you one grander than you can imagine. Your boyfriend's time is shortening…so he won't be able to give you one.”
Humaira had then drawn two swords, one she had handed to Brigid and the other she had kept hold of.
Without thinking Brigid had assaulted the woman. All the speed, skill, and strength she had gained from her athleticism was on display. Her blade was quick and her soul burned hot.
Humaira was faster, stronger, and any cut Brigid made was a mere scratch.
Eventually the Salubri disarmed Brigid and drained her dry.
Brigid would wake up surrounded by people she would get to know for the next twenty years.
There was Charlotte Utkin, their Pack Priest and ambitious Tzimisce. She had grinned down at the new Salubri with a keen interest.
Then there was Richard Hunter, a City Gangrel who had seemed like he was sulking. He had looked at her with naked desire.
Max Moore a Ventrue she was told, had hailed her as a new comrade and told her he was excited to see her in battle.
Then there was Dean. He seemed rabid. Barely coherent even as he threatened her if she got in his way. She was told he was a Brujah.
Then there was Humaira. Her ductus and sire both. Brigid found a sense of loyalty to her ingrained in her psyche…but she still tried to leave the pack the instant everyone’s backs were turned. Humaira caught her about a mile out with Richard at her side. Richard had been laughing the entire time. He had said she would have made a good Gangrel. The two dragged her back.
Humaira had told her that there was no point in going back…Leon would be turned soon and she herself was a monster…slowly the rules of the Cainite were explained to her and Brigid grew more and more horrified. Especially when she learned the weakness of the Salubri. She would never be able to feed without violence. It was impossible. She couldn’t go back to her siblings for fear of hurting them, Leon wouldn’t love her anymore, and she apparently would be hunted by every kind of vampire save the group she was now in. Brigid still had one goal however…she could save Leon from his fate.
She tried to escape again the following night…and this time they were ready. Dean had pinned her down while Max had looked her in the eyes and bent her will. She was given a simple order: She could not leave the pack.
Brigid had tried with all her might to resist, but it had been a failure.
When she partook of the Vinculum for the first time, it intensified.
What followed were ten years of war for Brigid, fighting across the continental United States. She fought and killed through ups and downs, beginning to feel something that felt like true loyalty for her pack…but she never forgot him.
Leon. The love of her life, stuck somewhere else in the Sabbat. She had learned he had had his life destroyed as a Lasombra. She knew he was strong enough to keep going…and she wanted to see him again.
But she could never leave the pack for long enough to search. She just asked around at Sabbat events…but she could never quite find him. She heard of him however. He was the Childer of someone powerful, and she heard he became a Mystic of some sort. A researcher. Her heart ached for him even as she killed and killed.
Eventually…Brigid’s pack began to split apart. They had had a good run, but that’s what lead to their first member leaving. Charlotte was promoted to leading a pack of her own and left them.
Then Dean went off the deep end and became a Wight…it was Brigid’s hand that ended his life…she learned then that she could resist the Vaulderie. She began to think.
During each ritual with her pack, she would focus on Leon. On her desire to see him, on her desire to hold him again. She felt the bonds weaken or stay the same often.
Soon after that, Richard tired of flirting with her when she didn’t want it. He wanted her directly. She wound up killing him when he tried to shift into the face of Leon. She had spat on his rapidly decaying corpse.
Next their Ventrue had a public disagreement with Humaira, and was given to another pack. Brigid heard he died during a Camarilla assault on Chicago.
Then it was just her and her sire Humaira, traveling the country. Brigid despite herself, despite her dislike of her situation…she didn’t hate her. She found her lust for vengeance and the way she dispatched the Tremere that had so fucked over their clan righteous…she thought they could do more in the name of Justice however. Brigid hadn’t forgotten her old stories of knights and chivalry. She didn’t bring it up however, but she kept those stories and her guilt as a shield against the disturbingness of it all. Even…even if she often found that she enjoyed the violence. She tried not to take pleasure in the killing.
In the end, Humaira died not because of Brigid or her hatred. She died because of an error of hers. The two took part in an assault on a Chantry in Maryland, and they had not expected a Gargoyle to be there. Humaira had dueled the stone Cainite to the death and had ensured a mutual kill. Brigid held the woman in her arms as she died. She had actually wept for her despite everything. Brigid herself only made it out of the failed attack because of a resistance to magic she had always possessed.
But she was free, finally free. She tried to find him immediately, tried to find Leon. But she found that she could not…information about him had dried up. She had wept, before she decided to go aid the Sabbat’s cause in Baltimore.
The pack there needed aid, and there was justice to be done. Besides…it was near where Leon had been when they had been embraced twenty years ago…maybe he would come for her. She hoped dearly that he would.

In 2012 when the Camarilla charged on in to take control of Baltimore, Burian swiftly sided with the Camarilla. As a Fledgling and as a Neonate, the Camarilla had been his faction. With time, it fluctuated but he always valued the order and structure it aimed for over the other factions. Once the war was fought, he kept maintaining the shipyard like always.
Currently, he continues participating in his duties. With William gone and the Anarch Julien in charge, Burian observes and waits to see if the former Herald is truly fit to run the city whilst keeping ties with what little Camarilla remain.

History
It took a while but finally, they got her visions under control but it opened the door for other things. There were sounds now. She would call these her spirits. The spirits would tell her who needed her. They needed her to heal them, to fix them. It took her all she had to try to be able to tell the difference between what was her illness and what was reality. She tried though she really did try. She tried to remember to take the cocktails that her father made for her. Sometimes it got worse, sometimes it got better. With all she had experienced and the schooling to back it, she was able to treat others. give them hope as well, if she could do it, they could too.
The first hit to her already fragile psyche was the death of her father. While he had a healthy mind he never told her or her mother that his body was being eaten away. They could barely look at him when he was already put on the ground. Hardly but Calla still did. She could swear that she saw his spirit hanging around his body and then walking towards her. Now he was her guide in the afterlife. This was when she realized that she collected spirits (not really), her mother was next to go and her spirit joined the now dozen of those that followed her. While they had moved to the States because of some accusations of unauthorized experiments, it got worse while living in a new country.
When her parents became her guides, it was over. The spirits told her who needed her help, she would bring them to her home and fix them. The procedures sometimes would take weeks or even months then they would join the cast of Guides now following her. Calla met a girl named Agusta. The spirits told her this was someone who needed Calla to fix her. Agusta sat in the home she had been left. She started to talk to her. "You will be well. I promise." "No nothing will ever be well again." Next thing she knew she woke up but her heart had stopped beating.
Calla haunted the alleyways, looking for new souls when a man caught her attention. He too had her particularities and they enjoyed seeing what ways they could bring soundness of mind to those who needed it. She told her he loved her. But then the voices, the voices screamed at her whenever she was near. He was not a good person, he was not really trying to help her. Calla tried, tried to send him away but he comes back every once in a while, and the house screams. The guides are just whispers now so she can go out. Maybe she can find a new project to work on while out and about.

History
It was her personality rather than her beauty that caught the attention of her sire. Chaos was the embodiment of his name. He changed her to see if she kept her spirit when her good looks were gone. At first, Chrysanthemum tried to escape the confinement she had been put under to try and walk into the sun. Her depression was so deep that all she could think of was ending this hell. Surprisingly enough it was a crooner on the radio that made her stop. So she didn't have her face anymore. It didn't mean that she couldn't entertain anymore. That and the world was changing out there.
Armed with a new goal for herself she made it a point to learn as much as she could about the radio business. She realized that she was smarter than she thought something that had been underplayed during life. Down in the sewers, no one cared what she looked like, just how she could help. It was freeing in a way. With so much time on her hands now, why not learn as much as she could? With her thirst for knowledge and curiosity, she started making a network which grew along with her skills. It also made her a target. When things got rough in New York and then in New Orleans, she packed up her stuff and moved, taking her public image with her.
Modern times really were wonderful. She designed software that could read Noferatu faces and set to work on creating an avatar for herself. She could be anyone online, anything. That and a carefully chosen girl who would do anything for fame made her social media empire grow. She was entertaining again and it was the best feeling. And if the locals needed help, why not do that too.

Working things out with words was never a talent that Darrius had. Growing up hungry and bullied, he learned at a young age that things were solved much faster by beating the hell out of anyone that stood against you. Whether it be racist Frenchmen, bullies in school, opponents in the ring, or fellow kindred. Darrius isn't afraid to take anyone out that dares keep him from doing as he pleases or if they try to hurt anyone in his clan. He's never been known to show mercy on the field of battle and has even gotten such a reputation for killing that they call him "Anubis" which he helped cement by wearing a black jackal mask when working.

History
Over the years Darrius would learn from Antoine and eventually be embraced by him into the Clan. This would lead to Darrius become a devout follower of the religion, specifically getting very attuned to the warrior aspect of the deity Set. He focused years upon years on mastering the art of war, various different martial arts and fighting styles, and became proficient in using most any weapon he could get his hand on, excelling most with the sword. In fact, his preferred weapon being the Egyptian khopesh.
Eventually over time Darrius made his own mark on the world as warrior of Set, and assassin. He would make the name "Anubis" internationally known, to the point when it is mentioned that he is in any country, world leaders fear that they will end up being killed. Over the years he's become a myth and legend among the mortal world, a boogeyman to all of those in power around the world. They know that when the Jackal faced assassin shows his face, they will surely die and there's no one that can stop him from dragging them to the underworld.
Currently, Darrius has made his way to Baltimore, as he has heard that the city is in chaos, but the Followers of Set there are thriving. Not only that, but he also needed a new change of scenery and he felt like there would be many fun opportunities for him to help spread the word of his great god. Only time could tell if he made a good decision or a bad one. One thing was for sure, he was eager to get his hands dirty in the name of Set.

Despite her best efforts, opportunity struck, Her band (The Strumpets) hit their zenith and began touring the east coast. After a couple years and developing a meager cult-following, they took a break and she bought a house out in the sticks of west Maryland. After a few months of peace, Dallas was drugged at a bar and caught just as she found her car, which her assailant used to drive her home and destroy her life as she knew it. Though she never learned the identity of her sire, she sure as hell found a million ways to hate them.
The next week she stayed inside, wrapped in a blanket, slowly devolving into lifelessness. It wasn't until she came to, from the sickening thud of her ragged cat's skull bouncing off the wooden floor and the bitter flavor of his blood on her lips sent her into a monthlong depression, from which her escape was the blood of a jogger over town she'd sworn she'd tasted in a dream the day prior.
There was a knock at her door the following night, and her sickly guest let himself in, introducing himself as R. Totale. The two strangely hit it off, as he began an unprompted verbal exploration of her new condition, which much to her delight, was done in a manner that made her feel divine. Totale warned her about the dangers of moving into the city, and the importance of preserving her humanity. Totale gave her the moral options for feeding and answered all the questions she found the courage to ask. The two of them went on like this for a year or so, meeting weekly and talking the nightlong about their shared condition, teaching her how to harness her abilities, until one night, and like any good student, Dallas decided her eccentric mentor was walking too slowly and insisted she could go much faster, packing her things and heading into Baltimore to his chagrin. The last night they spoke, she vividly remembers him tapping her on the forehead and declaring "I'm the great God Pan, you will walk in my image or die under the sun." A month later, she was on her way to Baltimore.
Dallas never learned his real name, and to this day calls the strange man Pan, though as of late, their interactions have been few and far between, and never close to home.

Declan Gornt was born on July 11, 1930, to a conservative family near Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up in the shadow of the Great Depression and World War II, molding him into a disciplined, resilient man. By 20, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Seabees, where he served with distinction during the Korean War as a Combat Engineer, rising to the rank of Petty Officer E-5. His experiences in combat left him with a rigid sense of duty, but also a hint of disillusionment. Declan’s one claim to fame was partaking in the Seabee’s drunken theft of North Korean trains, where his hands were scarred by a locomotive’s boiler, since which he has hidden with leather gloves [Source]. His desire to shape the future through means beyond brute force led him to law.
Returning stateside, Declan pursued pre-law at Johns Hopkins University, eventually earning a law scholarship to Yale. During his studies, he met Cillian Matherson, a fellow aspiring attorney who shared his vision for justice—and his ambition. They became fast friends, bonded by shared ideals and long nights of rigorous study. Declan earned his law degree at 29, celebrating a future he believed he’d carved with his own hands.
That same evening of October 31st, 1959, as others celebrated Halloween, his life took an unexpected turn. Dame Olivia Douglas Scott, a dignified and centuries-old Ventrue, saw immense potential in him. She Embraced Declan, welcoming him into the world of the Kindred with a calculated sense of mentorship. But Lillian’s allure, now intensified by Kyrael’s demonic energy, shattered his carefully cultivated restraint. Their reunion led to mutual confessions of their feelings and an unveiling of each other’s true natures.
This revelation marked a profound turning point in Declan’s unlife. In late 2024, Declan finally returns to Baltimore with a renewed sense of purpose. History
With an established reputation for nefarious work and brutal bar fights, Donovan was approached one day in a tavern by a young Jean Lafitte to join his crew. Donovan had never been on a boat, but given his growing reputation and fewer places to hide out in, Donovan felt the proposition had merit. For 10 years Donovan sailed and plundered with Lafitte. He was one of the most feared members of the crew, showing to be ruthless in his techniques of disposing of enemy sailors.
Donovan's life forever changed after the battle at Omas, Honduras. Many assumed Lafitte perished in the skirmish, but in fact Donovan proved to be his captain's salvation. It was then that Donovan discovered why his captain kept to his quarters during the day. Donovan was embraced into the realm of kindred, and together they retreated back to the states to Miami.
It was in Miami that Donovan was introduced to the Sabbat. Being Lasombra they were readily welcomed and though Lafitte was grateful, he had other ambitions for unlife and left Miami after arranging for most of his hidden fortune to be retrieved. Donovan meanwhile learned from many of the clans and was instrumental in helping keep Miami Sabbat. Over the decades Donovan proved brutal in his methods, unfeeling in mercy and quite adapt with Obtenebration earning him the moniker "Blackheart". Any covert Camarilla, Anarchs, or other enemies of the Sabbat met a swift and vicious end at the hands of this assassin.
Due to his success at delivering Final Death to the enemies of the Sabbat he caught the attention of the Black Hand. It was under their direction that Donovan was sent to numerous cities to dispose of obstacles where needed for the Sabbat. Now the latest word from on high is Baltimore is in need of select individuals to be removed and have the city join the surrounding area under Sabbat control. Donovan has arrived to ensure that happens.

At first glance Draven is just a great lawyer that works for his own major firm. He seems nice enough and charming. But truthfully, Draven is the most unpredictable person that probably has walked the face of the earth. He could be happy and smiling one moment and then ripping your heart out with a spoon the next. He doesn’t like being told what to do and he thinks that family is the only thing on the planet worth a shit. No life is beneath him snuffing out, that’s of course unless it is that of a child or pregnant woman. Monsters don’t have to be monsters all the time. He will give anyone a run for their money intellectually speaking, and physically speaking, well there’s a reason he’s not been caught doing his other work. The man is a walking and breathing weapon. He gets his job done for both the clan and his clients.

History
In 1782, during the tail end of the Revolutionary War, Earl’s birth was a cursed affair. Whether due to the Revenant family’s supernatural practices or inbreeding, the infant’s birth bore many complications as the baby was malformed and ghoulishly strong. To save his mother’s life the family had to use their Vicissitude arts to extract the child from his mother or they both would have perished. As he grew with his deformities, Earl’s childhood was marred with more than his fair share of hardships. The family refused to use their crafts to fix the boy’s body, whether out of cruelty or wanting to see the child strive to overcome their weaknesses, who can say. Although Earl’s body was twisted and misshapen, he bore a sharp mind and as he grew, he observed his environment and learnt all he could. By the age of twelve he had picked up the rudimentary understanding of Flesh Crafting, beginning his first steps upon a road that would do more than just fix his body.
Through his adolescence, the family witnessed Earl shift from a hapless, deformed wretch of a person to a young man of surprising stature. At 18 years old, the young man stood six foot, seven inches and was nearly 250 pounds, Earl had more than adapted, his body was like clay to his will. The young Bratovich was gaining favor within the family, and over time he joined the family’s hunting parties, not just to hunt game to feed them, but also to hunt and push back the werewolves that stalked the Appalachians. Since the family settled those mountains, the Bratovich and the local Garou packs had developed a deep bitter enmity. Likely due to the supernatural nature of both factions, the nearby Cherokee tribes thankfully stayed away from their conflicts. This did not help much as over the following years Earl ranged further afield from the homestead, hunting for more and more material for his foul Flesh Crafting experiments. He did not care where the flesh came from, it was all ‘Meat’ to him, animals, newly proclaimed Americans or natives, they were all the same in his eyes, but he did particularly prize Garou flesh.
The years went by and in 1846, at the age of 64, Earl had sculpted his physique to the hulking size of 7’ 7” and 350 lbs. and having now hunted the Garou for decades he had proven how much he was a thorn in their sides, earning the man his nickname. But during this time a shadow from the family’s past patiently observed him. In the Americas the Bratovich had the chance to reestablish themselves, and after a while they reconnected and renewed their ties with their supernatural origins, the Kindred of Clan Tzimisce. One if them had heard of Earl and his proclivities, particularly his new interest in causing terror, reveling at instilling fear in those he preys upon. In Thorne’s minds he never truly viewed himself as human, this piqued the interest of a visiting Tzimisce, who chose to gift Thorne with the Curse of Caine and Embraced him. Thorne only recalls encountering a pool of blood that moved before he passed out, rising hours later as Kindred. Left and abandoned by his Sire, Thorne was helped by his family, who praised him for receiving such an honor.
During the American Civil War, a number of Bratovich family members were conscripted into the Union Army, war offered Thorne new opportunities and although he didn’t enlist, he found nearby battlefields to be too tantalizing an occasion to test his menagerie of Flesh Crafted Abominations. A few camping stories arose from Thorne’s homemade horrors causing chaos or stalking troop encampments in the night. By the time the US introduced the Draft in the early 20th century, most of the Bratovich family that still remained on their homestead didn’t appear on any census, so were never called up to fight in either world wars. But it was during this time that Thorne was actively recruited into the wider activities of the Sabbat. He was requested to help with Sabbat actions in Detroit where he not just helped but proved to be such a monster amongst both Kindred and Kine, that he was awarded the title of Templar by the Archbishop, then politely asked to leave.
With the advent of technology and the invention of films, during the mid to late 20th century, Thorne found a genuine interest in Horror movies, in particular, Slasher, Gore and Body Horror genres. Seeing how these forms of media had worked their way into the zeitgeist, Thorne went as far as to fashion a mask he Bone Crafted to his own skull, and fanged mouths in his palms to still be able to feed, all to better incite fear.
Since the ‘40s, Thorne has served the Sabbat where needed, a tool to be used when conventional methods fail. Recently the Sabbat hierarchy of the East Coast have grown tired of the loss of Baltimore, some ten years prior. And with Archbishop Warin of DC not having done anything of worth in trying to retake Baltimore, the diocese has sent Thorne in to stir the proverbial pot.
Elijah Augustus Giovanni
Overview
Autonomy he wields as well as he wields his words: Like a motherfucking sledgehammer.
Other than Rosa Giovanni, the family matriarch in Baltimore, he's an outcast in his own Clan and amongst those who professed to love him the most. Elijah is abrasive on good nights, downright cruel on bad ones, and only cares for perhaps three individuals.

Before that, he was just another college student. One who had a bit more insight into the way things really worked in the world, but still just a kid going to college and majoring in Graphic Design and Coding, and running the occasional errand for a few of his 'night owl' family members.
A few pretty lucrative errands, and mostly for his Uncle Ephraim, but that is beside the point.
The night is one that Elijah relives every time he closes his eyes in daysleep. He'd been on his way home from late-classes, and he's convinced to his night he was targeted. He was grabbed, and then three nights later--three nights that he tries incredibly hard to forget--he was dumped on the steps of La Scala Ristorante (one of the family's front-restaurants), near death and unable to tell anyone what had happened to him.
It was his Uncle Ephraim who did it. Who had his cousins leave them alone in the private party room, and after attempting to get answers out of Elijah did the only thing he could to keep him alive long enough learn the truth of what had happened.
He Embraced him.
As per a lot of the Family, it wasn't done properly or something went wrong that night. Maybe it was because Elijah hadn't been properly prepared the way most Giovanni are, or maybe it was because he'd been so close to death prior to the Embrace, but he wasn't...right. Instead of the normal curse their family was stricken with, Elijah instead looked as though he were a fresh corpse, and no matter how hard he tried, or how much his sire attempted to teach him, he was unable to quicken his blood to make him seem more alive.
Which was why, after Ephraim called in a few favors, Elijah was taught the art of Obfuscate.
Since those nights, Elijah studies, and spends a good deal of his time alone. The Family tends to be odd around him. He's still provided for and protected--he IS still Giovanni--but he tends to be kept at arms' length by the younger members of the family, and given a wide berth by those who are older.
And his Sire?
He left a few years ago. Left Elijah to his studies in their shared penthouse while he traveled to various places where their family Elders were ensconced.

Gustave was vain, ambitious, selfish. He fancied himself an actor, or a dancer, or a celebrity with no discernible talent. He made his was to New York the moment he turned eighteen and never looked back. He got work, and if being introduced to the casting couch got him parts, so be it. He wasn't a proud person. But he was an asshole. A vain one at that. And judgemental.
One night he was out clubbing and a nice guy approached him. Nice, but unattractive. Oh he wasn't a troll or anything, but certainly not up to Gustave's standards. He didn't just turn the man down, he humiliated him. The fuckboys and the glittertwinks all laughed. Gustave smiled smugly as the nice guy slinked off. But there was one person who did not join in on the reverie.
A monster had been lurking in the club that night, a monster who took umbrage with how the pretty boy named Gustave treated the nice guy. The monster followed Gustave home and decided that the young man who was beautiful on the outside, was ugly as sin on the inside, deserved to be punished. He Embraced Gustave that night.
Gustave's sire stayed with him long enough to explain his fate, all while his undead body twisted and contorted itself. He was tranformed into a hideous creature, all that ugliness inside of him manifest outwardly. His sire left not too long after - oh he showed Gustave the basics, laughing at him through it all. He was then left alone.
Gustave contemplated walking into daylight on more than one occasion during this time. For some reason he didn't. He eventually found a place to vent his frustrations pounding drums for an Anarch band called Riot Squad. It remains to be seen if he is an Anarch at heart, or just a selfish prick.
Aaron weiss hawsworth
Overview
You notice him right away — a sharp-looking femboy with a wild sense of style. His black hair is cut short on one side and messy on the other, half covering a pair of bright, mischievous eyes. He’s got big pentagram earrings that sway when he moves, a studded choker, and enough piercings to catch the light from every angle.
His outfit looks like he raided both a thrift store and a boutique on the same day: tight jeans, a loose jacket over a half-unbuttoned shirt, and sneakers that are probably worth more than your rent. Tattoos peek out from under his collar when he stretches. He’s grinning like he’s in on a joke no one else gets, tongue piercing flashing when he laughs.
Altogether, he comes off less like a brooding vampire and more like some effortlessly cool club kid — someone you’d see outside a venue at 2 a.m., chatting up strangers and looking like he belongs anywhere the music’s loud and the lights are low.

He was once a university rector and patron of philosophy, a man who lived for art, order, and the perfect salon conversation. As the centuries passed, Markus evolved into a Cam courtier of immense wealth and taste — a banker, art collector, and political manipulator who dresses in bespoke suits and speaks with a deliberate, patient cadence.
He lives like a baroque monarch in the modern era, and that’s how he treats Aaron: not as a pawn, not as a ghoul, but as a delightful indulgence he cannot resist.
Lady Clara was once a Victorian aristocrat — born into the English gentry in the 1800s, renowned for her poise, cold beauty, and penchant for scandal. She was Embraced on the moors of Yorkshire by a Gangrel elder who saw in her both breeding and bloodlust. Clara adapted effortlessly: a lady by day, a huntress by night. She cast off titles and estates as the decades rolled on, trading them for Sabbat power, though she never let go of her noble affectations.
Now she is feared and admired as one of the Sabbat’s more refined elders — all lace gloves, icy words, and feral claws.
The Embrace: Clara picked Aaron during a Sabbat incursion into Cologne in the late ’70s. She found him delightful — feral but fashionable, a neonate who wore chaos like a crown. He reminded her of herself in her reckless youth.
Her Role: Clara raised Aaron not like a son but like a protégé. She guided him through Sabbat ritae, let him stumble and bleed, but always pulled him back from final death. To her, he’s both pet project and trophy.
Motherly, in a Twisted Way: She calls Aaron “my beautiful boy” but disciplines him harshly when he disappoints her. Her affection is real, but always edged with control.
Aaron Weiss was born in 1953 in Cologne, West Germany, the son of a bookish schoolteacher and a tailor with an eye for fine clothes. From the start, Aaron had an ear for language , slipping between German, French, and English with the ease of a native. By his teenage years, he was picking up scraps of Latin from old church texts and ancient graffiti, charming priests into lending him access to libraries he had no business in.
But the real scandal was his style. In an era that demanded conformity, Aaron leaned into androgyny eyeliner, thrift-store finds turned couture, bold silhouettes that blurred gender before fashion magazines caught up. He earned money running with club kids, hustlers, and underground drag performers in the ’70s, carving out a name for himself in Cologne’s late-night scene. He was equal parts pretty boy, hustler, and intellectual someone who could quote Cicero in the same breath as he sold you party pills.
It was there, in 1978, that Lady Clara Hensworth found him. Clara, a Gangrel elder of Sabbat nobility, was drawn to Aaron’s contradictions: feral but fashionable, clever but reckless, vulnerable but proud. She Embraced him on a blood-soaked ritae night in the Cologne outskirts, molding him as her protégé. Aaron became her “beautiful boy,” indulged but disciplined, raised on Sabbat rites like a child of both cruelty and admiration.
Yet Aaron was never content to be just a monster. His obsession with aesthetics and human pleasures persisted even after the Embrace. Unlike most Gangrel and most vampire, he still eats food relishing flavors as if clinging to scraps of humanity. His apartment is littered with cookbooks and half-eaten plates, though his palate is far more about the experience than sustenance.
By the 2000s, Aaron’s boldness caught the attention of another power: Markus Adelrath, a German Ventrue elder embedded in Camarilla politics. Markus became Aaron’s “sugar daddy,” lavishing him with designer clothing, expensive toys, and access to Elysium circles. Their arrangement is equal parts indulgence and exploitation Aaron gets luxury, Markus gets amusement and leverage.

The family may not be of the 1% but they do have deep pockets and deep ties to old money very set in its old ways.
Life: Beaufred Bellfrie Beauregard The 3rd was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father was very strict. And he instilled in his son the virtues of honor and loyalty and lawfulness.
Beaufred didn't know, but he is Asexual and his little to no interest in girls made some think him gay.
His family arranged a marriage for him with a beautiful and wealthy wife named Anabell.
Though he never had any true romantic or sexual feelings for her, he felt it was his duty to love her, so he forced himself to at least love her like a very close friend.
Even though he didn't enjoy the sex, he was looking forward to the idea of being a father, but on the night that Anabell was going to give birth, Beaufred died.
Un-Life
His Sire "Victor Von Volkonsky" (a venture), had been watching. Beaufred for a long time, Victor was in the process of getting official permission to embrace Beaufred when Victor learned of the baby.
Victor felt that if Beaufred lived long enough to see the baby be born, the act of becoming a father might make him love the baby so much it would be nearly impossible to pull him away from his family and into the night.
So Victor grabbed Beaufred less than an hour before the birth and embraced him.
This embrace was without the official permission of the camarilla, so both of them were soon taken to trial.

Beaufred didn't know much about the camarilla at this point, but he had been told some things.
When he was asked to plead innocent or guilty, Such was his honor and sadness that he pleaded guilty and bowed low. And told the Prince, "According to your ancient and wise laws, you, my prince, are within your right to slay me. I dare not argue with your judgment."
This caused the Prince to spare Beaufred. But not his sire
Beaufred was, in most cases from that day on, super loyal to the camarilla way, BUT he did struggle; he was addicted to watching his family.
And so to help him get over his family, the Prince sent him away from the city, far away on a mission. To help spread the ideas of the Camarilla to anarchic cities

History
Jacob Thornton was a Silent Generation kid, born in 1937 to working-class parents in West Baltimore. Shaped by the Great Depression, but too young to make a difference in World War 2, Jacob, like a lot of boys his age, got hooked on the idea of motorcycles by seeing Marlon Brando in The Wild One. His appetite for violence developed early, as he won a Silver Gloves Tournament at 16 and a Golden Gloves at 19. He joined the Baltimore branch of the Outlaws when they were founded and followed them from general hooliganism into full-on outlawry, running guns and drugs. That came to an end in 1970, when he ended up in Jessup State Prison for trafficking in cocaine.
Prison did stop Jacob’s slide into dissolution, forcing him to give up the drugs that had become a way of life. He threw himself into a strenuous exercise regimen and found himself with a small group of other inmates who took meetings with a “lifer” by the name of Ricardo Perez. No one ever saw Perez during the day - he was believed to be a permanent occupant in solitary, but at night, guards would get bribed and a handful of inmates with aspirations to something more meaningful than being a con would come and listen like they were in church. Perez preached self-improvement as seen through the lens of the Stoics, with a healthy dollop of the Catholicism Perez himself was raised on, but he also preached taking no shit in ways that the Bishop probably wouldn’t approve of. Jacob was a good student, but still pretty raw, when the prison burned.
The Jessup Prison Riot of 1972 was more than a riot - it was an effort by Camarilla operatives to get at Perez, who was an Anarch organizer and philosopher. Jacob got caught in the middle, getting shot, cut, and beaten almost to death while helping to protect Ricardo. Ricardo took pity on the man and embraced him, rather than letting him bleed out. At sunrise, his dead body was bagged up and gathered in a truck. Perez’s allies got him out that night and that was Jacob’s introduction to the world of the Kindred.
Jacob made a promise to himself not to return to Baltimore until his mother had passed, not wanting her to see his new state. Admittedly, he didn’t expect her to live to be 100, but used the time wisely, learning some of the ins and outs of Kindred society and improving his political and social skills, not to mention his talents for violence. He learned Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from a Gangrel in Philadelphia and guitar from a Toreador in Annapolis. He also learned that his embrace had come with a curse - Perez’s great-grandsire had been an Infernalist and there was a lingering stain in the bloodline that seemed to raise the hackles of the particularly devout. He learned to avoid churches, or at least only go to Mass with priests who were more clock-punchers than god-botherers. With his mother passing away late last year, Jacob has been preparing to return to the city in which he was born, touching base with elements of the criminal world and those adjacent to it. With a handful of contacts, a wad of cash, and a new rowhome, Jacob is ready to join the fight to preserve Anarch independence in Baltimore.

Born on August 6th, 1960 James Levett lived a peaceful life in the Midwest of America, and grew up as a faithful, simple man in Nevada. He eventually joined the United States Army and fell in love with the concept of being part of something greater despite all the parts that made him question it. His success at Ranger School and marrying his wife marked the high point of his life.
SSg James Levett was thirty years old when he went on a fateful mission to neutralize a HVT during the Gulf War. However one bad run in with a Kindred later, James was left fatally wounded to bleed out in the desert. In a moment of extreme desperation, he would find a new creed to dedicate his life to. Being a part of 75th Ranger Regiment of the United States Army saved his life in more ways than one as the Scions of Haqim saw a potentially useful new recruit to modernize their Clan for rapidly changing warfare. His training and the path to reach this point was already taxing, in his mind, seven long grueling years as a Fida'i for the Eagle's Nest was nothing to him. Especially since he had all the time in the world now.
He looks back, brokenhearted at his old life that was lost upon becoming a Kindred, he left behind a wife and two kids. A family that moved on without him. Always remembering him but being too dangerous to make contact again without endangering them. Now, he is a Rafiq, a brother of the Kindred Hashashin who kill even kings. Being a disciplined and focused person, he took to the teachings of Haqim gladly, to bring Justice upon the wretched blood drinkers who caused him to lose his mortal life and while he is not a Muslim, Noddist, or religious in general any longer, he takes solace in the axioms of the Old Man of the Mountain.
Now he serves as a modern weapons and tactics instructor for the Fida'i, as even the most skilled of killers need to be smart on the way their enemies are poised to fight. Ancient martial arts, deadly poisons, and antediluvian magic are just new tools in an arsenal which includes concepts such as C2 and small unit tactics.

Dundalk, specifically. A suburb of Baltimore City known for being blue-collar and a bit white-trash. He was the only son of a single mother, who regardless of how utterly exhausted she always was--and how painfully young she was when she had him--always made him a priority. They lived with his grandparents in a townhouse on Eastfield Road right behind the Community College of Baltimore County's Dundalk Campus.
He did all the things boys in blue-collar Baltimore did: He went fishing, crabbing, and hunting with his grandfather on weekends. Played sports, made friends, and all in all had a normal upbringing. He played Football and Lacrosse at Dundalk High School. At seventeen, he graduated with Honors and a scholarship to UMBC, where he majored in Sociology and Broadcasting.
It was in college when he began being shadowed by a P.I., though he didn't know it. He learned later that the man had been hired by his estranged father. A man who he's met a total of twice: Once to 'meet', and once more after his graduated from college so the man could cut him a check for a surprisingly large amount of money so he would 'disappear'.
Apparently, Jason was a mistake that could not get out. His father was running for governor of another state on the Republican ticket, but if word got out that he'd had an 'indiscretion' with a much younger woman and a child resulted from that, it could tank his 'family values' platform, as he'd never paid Jason's mother a dime in child support.
Jason took the money at his mother's urging, and he signed the NDA, but he's using that money to better himself and the world, regardless of how much it pisses off the man who donated sperm for him to exist.
Since he graduated from college, he's bought himself a nifty little townhouse, a small SUV, and is investing in his community works projects. He's an active member of Blue Water Baltimore, various social justice groups including a membership to the Baltimore Chapter of the NSRA, and has been arrested a time or two at local protests.
He's living his best life.
Now if only he could get his love-life in order....

Jim Conway, on the surface, has always seemed an unassuming man. Beneath the surface, though, resided a keen mind, one most adept at understanding people. Whilst not an inherently charismatic man, Jim learned to capitalize on his understanding, to pull the strings of those around him, to bring everything in line with his vision of how things should be.
But don’t be mistaken - Jim didn’t like to control people because he enjoyed toying with them. He did it to make sense of the world. He saw an order to the chaos which only needed to be ushered forth. And without that order, without that control, things simply fell apart. Whenever he lied or led astray, it was for that greater good. He believed so, anyway.
This need for control and order extended beyond just people, however. Everything had its place. Jim was smart enough to know he couldn’t bring everything to heel, but at least in his private places, on his person, everything was as it should be. And if it wasn’t, it was soon corrected.
Perhaps it was his ability, his need, to bring order to the chaos that drew Jim Conway to the prison service. In many ways he reveled in the disorder it provided, if only because that meant he could fix it. He began his career as a low-level administrator, but soon rose through the ranks until he was a warden of his own prison - a position he held capably and faithfully, up until the point where he was almost ready to retire.
It was around this time that his prison received a new batch of inmates. Being who he was, he noted something incredibly odd, different, about one of these men in particular - Hélio Montenegro - but Jim was a rational man, and his thoughts never drew close to ideas of the supernatural. As far as the warden was concerned, Hélio was simply a disturbed man.
This soon changed when Jim was made ghoul to the enigmatic figure known as the Prophet of Pittsburgh. His whole world changed overnight, things he had never considered possible were now unmistakably real.
He was not a ghoul for long. Originally, he suspected, the Prophet had simply used him to release his Childe, Hélio, from incarceration, perhaps with the intention of disposing of Jim once he was done. But something about the warden drew the creature’s attention, and Jim Conway was shortly embraced into Clan Malkavian.
What had previously been his guide was now his sovereign. The need for order and control was no longer a background buzzing in his mind, it was an unignorable necessity. Part of Jim embraced this, it in many ways helped him make better sense of the world. And another part hated it - he had always prided himself on rationality, and he knew now he was beyond that. That hate, naturally, was extended to his new Sire.
Hélio, he found, also shared a resentment towards the Prophet, and the two quickly became a close-knit duo. With his new brother by his side, Jim set about coming up with a plan to deal with their Sire permanently. The two lured the Prophet of Pittsburgh into a trap, and once the creature was immobilized they reached the conclusion of the plan - Hélio diablerizing their Sire.
Now, the brothers make their way to a new city, to build a life for themselves in the strange world they’ve found themselves in.

Pressed into the military at 17, he worked as a translator and truck driver on campaigns through Germany and what was emerging as Ukraine.
Embraced during 1918, he survived both world wars as a vampire and eventually went to America to have a minor rebellious phase as a Hell's Angel biker. Being reigned back in under the Pyramid's control irks him, but he is developing the mask of a drag king deathcore frontman in Baltimore, so unlife could be worse!

Julien was born in Saint Domingue.
He doesn't talk about his life. There's an absolute chance he doesn't remember a lot of it. He does know that his father was a white plantation owner and his mother was a slave. She died in childbirth, and he was raised by the man who knew he wasn't Julien's father.
None of that matters. He was born into bondage and lived that way for his entire human life.
August 22, 1791, is known to history as The Night of Fire. It was the night that the Haitian Revolution began. Over one hundred thousand slaves rose against the vastly outnumbered and hated French colonists, and Julien was right there in the center of it all. At seventeen years old and into his eighteenth year, Julien spent those months as a revolutionary.
The burning of the plantation he was born on and lived most of his life happened ten days after his eighteenth birthday, and Julien did not expect to be caught under a burning plank in what had once been the dining room he'd once served dinner in. He thought he was going to die, but the pylon was pulled off of him as he choked on the soot air, and he was lifted and carried out of the fire and into the night.
Leggett was a good man in life and an even better man in death. One of the few white men who'd fought with them, and Julien learned he'd been watched. Leggett had stood on the edges of their meetings for months and watched for the 'right companion' until he'd landed on Julien. Even in his anger at the oppressive life he'd been born into, Julien kept his kindness and peace. Who worked so hard to do the right thing, even protecting white children and women when his brethren would want them dead.
It was then that Leggett turned him. Embraced him into the Night and Clan Gangrel.
They traveled a lot. Through the Middle East, Europe, Asia...wherever Leggett's eternal wanderlust took them. His sire Embraced twice after Julien, and though both Liam and Eugenia set down roots, Julien had never been able to. His apparent age as well as other factors kept him with his sire, kept him learning and absorbing. He learned he had a gift for numbers, and a talent for making money that was both a bane and a boon to his--and his family's--existence. He made the occasional friend moving through these places, most notably Shahin Kamran and Tomasz Draus.
He stayed with Leggett until his sire went to sleep in the early 1980s in Baltimore. He guarded the Elder's Torpor through the Camarilla rule, its fall to the Sabbat, and then the following Camarilla coupe, only sending his sire away and to his sister Rebecca in Andorra when he was drawn into politics almost against his will.
Recently, with the fall of various smaller cities around them to the Sabbat and Prince William Good's disappearance, Julien has been thrust into a position of power he's never asked for or wanted. He is adamant that he is not the Camarilla Prince the city deserves, but he is the Experimental-Anarch-Camarilla Regent they need in this dark hour.
At least, he hopes he is.
Because he's what they have.
He's recently Embraced and then lost his first Childe, Chance Edwards.
After losing Chance, he's embraced the title of Baron, where before he always said he would not take it if only because it felt blasphemous. Why he chose to adopt the title, one can only guess, but one thing is certain:
Those who've spoken to him recently will say he's much less warm and much more determined.

History
Being the daughter of the idle-yet-busy rich bought access to many things that less fortunate young ladies wouldn't have, and she only grew up more spoiled and selfish. Then, the discovery of just how ripe the internet was for mischief...catfishing desperate adults in chatrooms, getting people to send her compromising material in exchange for the most innocuous things. She grew to luxuriate in the small cruelties and the power she held by knowing things about people.
Eventually, the most cursory of ultimatums came down and Juliette was forced to go to college and earn herself a degree like most children of the landed gentry. Even so, she was already well on her way to being a millionaire with the launch of her twitch channel and associated socials. Telecommunications seemed like a natural fit, and she soon had a little gaggle of hangers-on that followed her and performed services for her in the hopes of sipping on just a taste of her fame and fortune.
It was this that drew the attention of her soon to be sire, when she was able to manipulate a few of her professors into passing grades as well as ignoring a sudden and tragic loss the student body suffered. There was no actual proof of course, but the whispered rumors were that Juliette had used her fanbase to bully the student into it, all because they continued to upstage her in class.
Now leading a double life ensconced in the study of blood and occultism, Juliette balances her own ambition, her ties to her sire and clan, and her still very much alive parents, now wondering just what their daughter is doing with her life....

History
Kain Grey grew up in Baltimore with in a devoutly Catholic household and intended on become a priest like his father, maybe even more. While he was working on his Doctorate in Theology he began hearing a singing coming from a park near his apartment. When he arrived he found a woman named Lyllithe. Kain introduced himself and Lyllithe smiled "Kain? Of course, on this cold, dark night, who else would be drawn to my warmth." Kain didn't understand but he found himself drawn to her and enjoyed talking to her. He didn't realize how long it had been until two other women appeared, they must have been friends of Lyllithe's, they didn't seem to like Kain. For the next few days whenever Kain heard the singing he would find Lyllithe and spend as much time as possible talking to her until she would hurry away. Kain suspected she was try to keep it hidden from her friends.
One night Lyllithe asked Kain to join her for a walk. Not thinking much of it Kain agreed, but was confused when Lyllithe brought him to her car and they drove to a forest. Kain had his concerns but something about Lyllithe soothed him and convinced him to keep following. Until they found a small hovel in the woods. Lyllithe brought him inside, amazingly enough this small hovel had a sizable basement...that was ...hand dug out? Lyllithe talked to Kain, she wanted him to stay with her, to be with her, and to love her for all eternity. Kain began to panic a little, he couldn't, not yet, he had God's work to do yet. He apologized and she started getting mad but she calmed herself and started to sooth Kain as well and Kain felt as he could no longer say no. Then Lyllithe embraced him telling him now that would be together forever.
They were discovered by her friends and another man, they tore Kain from her and began to beat him saying something about a pack agreement, Kain didn't understand.
He had never felt so much pain in his life and eventually when they stopped and buried him in the ground. The next night Kain dug himself out and he was starving he found a person tied up on the floor and dragged himself over to them and drained them of blood. When he was finished Kain noticed one of the women staring at him with contempt. Kain was filled with fury and launched himself at the woman attacking her, all of his strikes fell upon air. Then they all appeared again except for Lyllithe and brutally beat him again and buried him again. Night after night he would dig himself out and every night he would be beaten, or bombarded with hallucinations, or find his mind flooded with derangements. Kain never saw Lyllithe again.
One night one of them took a hideous claw and dug a symbol into his eye again and again, night after night, ensuring the scar would stick and they eye was useless.
Kain doesn't know how long this lasted, but one day it stopped. His tormentors disappeared, and they never returned. Kain found himself alone. He feared if he left the basement they would be waiting for him outside to torture him more. After a while he finally had to leave to feed. He sustained himself on animals. After a while he pushed his boundaries and began going through their possessions. He found weapons and tools, clothes and jewelry, and many other things he didn't really understand what it all was, items would shift and change infront of his eyes. He found a book, just a small black leather bound book. It told stories of Caine, first son of Adam. Kain remembered all his work in Theology, this had to mean something, this had to explain everything.
Kain poured himself into the book, comparing it to what he could remember from the Bible. He would spend his time writing notes in the mud, theory, dissertations, essays. Then a person, or monster or some other creature would appear to him and they would discuss, and Kain would become enraged and wipe it all away. Kain was alone except for visits from these monsters and entities, he was even visited by the Caine a few times and figured he was on the right path if Caine himself would help him figure out the truth.
The Crone, the Dark Mother, the three great Second Generation, and even the Antidelluvians, they all visited and would discuss with Kain, argue with each other, and fight. Eventually it was just Kain and Caine left.
"You know what you must do then right?" Caine said in a soft voice.
"I have to help spread the truth, to Kindred and Kine alike." Kain smiled
He made himself a coat from scraps of fabrics he found making a patchwork long coat and found a pair of purple leather pants, he cut them up and made an eyepatch to cover his scar. He then headed to a place he could almost barely remember, his ancient home, Baltimore.

History
The boy who would be Kelly Cole was born to a commercial actress and a bricklayer during the idyllic boom of the 1950’s; his upbringing was rough if stable. He admired his mother’s craft, and the magic of the screen. Musicals and beautiful women dancing in sync; hiding from his drunken father when discovered imitating the images on screen. Of course, the draw of the Big Apple was too much to resist, and the boy slipped away from his home to become a star.
New York in the late sixties was a hellhole, and he slowly descended to the streets with the other lost youths. It was during this time period he began to dress differently and call herself she; supportive urchins encouraging enough to endure the catcalls and jeers. Clubs and theatres were the ultimate goal, sneaking inside or bribing the door guards to dance and drink and grind the night away.
The clubs held other denizens though, and Kelly caught a minor shark’s eye; a swinging big shot on the party scene surrounded by women and tacky displays of wealth. A Toreador Antitribu, Dmitry Varanov, aka the Disco King, ran rampant through the city as only a Sabbat would, making sport and slaves of the kine. He gave Kelly more validation and attention than she’d ever received before from any man, human or not. Lavish gifts of drugs, money, clothes - but she was not the only ensnared girl, her former street sisters just as swept up in the fantasy. The night he revealed his nature and made them his ghouls was bloody and debauched, Kelly waking up in a stinging daze and even more hopelessly addicted. Despite the carnage around her, she could only think of the power she’d been tempted with.
Dragged into the brutal world of Sabbat controlled New York, she numbed herself with drugs and decadence to ignore her new existence’s necessities, becoming just as much a predator as Dmitry had been to her. Luring victims, securing drugs, serving as his escort and bodyguard, attending the nightmarish esbats and Holy Days of the Sword of Caine - it was during this time in the height of the 1970’s that she “earned” her embrace, her sire using his connections to grant her a more perfect form through the arts of Vicissitude as well. Her new visage only enforced that she and her sisters had become bound in servitude even further. The 70's bled into the 80's and Dmitry and his girls continued their bloody nightmare through the era of glitz and glamour.
The 80's became the 90's became the turn of the Millenium, and Dmitry took his traveling party to the Sabbat City of Baltimore. But in a new city, bereft of all his favorite old haunts and erstwhile allies, his power waned. He was too blase about the Silence of the Blood, and Baltimore was not a large enough city to disguise his activities. The leadup to the Night of Blood was fraught with close calls and nights where the 'coterie' nearly met their Final Death. The Night itself was when Kelly and her sisters finally took their revenge, fleeing for the Anarchs and throwing themselves on their mercy with their tale of slavery and woe.
Ten years later, the Black Rose, the Disco Witch, is still regarded with mild suspicion. After all, how long in the Sabbat does it take to truly rob someone of their conscience? Baltimore, once a possible continuance of her torment, now served as a city of convalescence and healing. Hopefully.....

Lilith Marrow was born on June 19, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland, into a crumbling city already haunted by poverty and the echoes of old American dreams.
Her early life was marked by drifting loneliness — a gifted child abandoned to foster homes and forgotten neighborhoods, often dismissed for her unsettling way of speaking about things that had not yet happened. Even as a human, Lily dreamed true, though no one believed her.
By her twenties, she was scraping by in the shadows of the city — a street poet, a busker, a soft-voiced girl who spoke riddles to a world too loud to listen.
It was in the abandoned ruins of the Wren Theater that her true life ended.
One summer night in 1963, Lily wandered into the collapsing shell of the old Wren, drawn by a feeling she could not name. There, standing amid the dust and broken velvet, was Verity Marrow — a Malkavian elder whose mind had unraveled into pure vision.
Verity saw in Lily a “dream-heavy soul,” one whose mind already floated along the edges of the Cobweb, even before death.
Without warning or consent, Verity Embraced Lily, weaving her into the madness of Kindred existence.
When Lily awoke to her new cursed life, Verity was gone — leaving behind only cryptic words and a shattered, permanent connection to the Malkavian Cobweb.
From that night forward, Lily’s visions sharpened, her dreams tore open, and the boundaries of time collapsed around her. She became a Seer — but a broken one, her insights drifting like leaves on a flood.
For decades afterward, Lily faded into Baltimore’s forgotten places.
She made her haven in the drowned basements and abandoned theaters of the city, surviving by feeding lightly upon the dreaming homeless, the addicts, and the lost — treating each as sacred, never taking more than necessary.
The Cobweb is never silent for Lily.
It whispers half-remembered memories of others, trembles with future tragedies yet to unfold, and weeps with lost dreams.
Through it, Lily sometimes catches fragments of Verity — guiding, warning, or simply singing lullabies no living voice could carry.
Today, Lily is a ghost in a city of ghosts:

Malachite Goseyun
Overview
Malachite Goseyun is a complicated soul to say the least. A snarky, fiery and rather strong-willed man with a penchant for improvisation and putting on a performance on the spot, be it to stand out or blend in. As a personality he can be shrewd and honest to the point of a rather jaded cynicism. Overall, he comes off as somewhat vain but well meaning, eloquent yet rustic and high principled, especially in a desperate attempt to cling on to what humanity he has left and not let his indignation and paranoia get the better of him in most cases, not to mention, the hypocrisy he has since taken on as a Kindred in self defense in order to force himself to make difficult decisions he wouldn't have to make otherwise as a mortal man. He is silent for the most part but can be conversational when he wants to be. Overall, one of the "nicer" Kindred one can get at times, even when he predominantly acts in self interest.

History
His mother was a hard woman. The sort of person who, when she realized she had a child who was gifted in the smallest of ways decided to use that bit of amazing to escape what she saw as a hopeless situation.
So Noah grew up off the Reservation and spent his early years as the only non-white kid in a small ranching town, though ranching isn't what he ended up doing in the long run. He was too graceful, far too mouthy, and far too pretty. Even as athletic as he was, there was a delicacy to Noah that just didn't adjust well to a hard life on that ranch. Add to that his mother telling him to follow his instincts, and he ended up traveling the world and performing for audiences of all sorts.
But the world he lived in was not one you could live in for long, and by twenty-five Noah was performing in his last show with Cirque du Soliel after traveling the world. His last show happened to be in New York, and to commemorate that last show--and to say goodbye to the friends and found family he'd made with the troupe--he decided to get a tattoo.
He hadn't expected the whirlwind romance that came with getting a little ink. While Noah had been wined and dined before, this was a wholly different and encompassing experience. He worked his new job by day--as a choreographer for a small dance troupe that fit his more eclectic and unique style--and by night he was wrapped up in this new, exciting relationship unlike anything he'd ever experienced before.
Life was good.
And then one night, in a post-coital haze of wine and sex, Noah relaxed into what he thought was Blaze's attempt at another round until he began to feel weak, and then the world fell away, and he woke up again with Blaze's wrist pressed to his mouth and an insatiable hunger.
The next nights were full of lessons and cutting ties and meeting people, and when he was introduced to a group of vampires he was told were family, he was faced with the fact that someone else had laid claim to him, which honestly just pissed him off. As if he were someone's property to be bought and sold, and he told her as much. Most chalked it up to the newness of his circumstances, but Noah had never had much talent for subterfuge or subtlety, and that seemed to have translated over into Unlife as the inability to lie. At all.
Not that he ever did in the first place.
He and Blaze managed to avoid Lucretia for the most part, though if anything went wrong with their various enterprises, it could usually be tracked back to her. He just remained in his sire's orbit, learning all he could about being a vampire. Even if he began to get frustrated about his lack of Release even after twenty years, when there were so many others Embraced after he was and able to move on with their Unlives. Freedom was something he craved more than anything in those early years, and it just didn't look like he'd ever had it.
When Blaze told him they were leaving New York and going to the newly conquered city of Baltimore, it was bittersweet. It was the opportunity for them both to start fresh, hopefully without the shadow of the past hanging over them. Still, living in New York had been his dream when he was alive, and now it was one more nail in the coffin of his humanity.
They went, and even after they arrived it was years before Blaze finally presented him to Prince William Good. He was pretty unceremoniously released--nearly thirty years was far too long to be Unreleased, apparently--but Blaze still kept him close, no matter how much the attention chaffed and smothered him.
Whether it was the looming, continuous threat of the Sabbat, the need for control, unrelenting love, or something else entirely that Blaze has not told him.

When she became an adult, she moved her operations onto Twitter where her work was recognized and appreciated. As the 2010s political scene ramped up in its need for shock and identity politics, Phoebe was first among them to hop on the bandwagon espousing her need for solidarity. A huge advocate for the Me Too movement, she got herself involved with the Left.
In 2024, the scene was no less tumultuous, the 2020s had become the worst it has been. Phoebe, scared about the future of her own existence. So she started taking chances, like online dating, she so wanted to at least get herself a boyfriend or girlfriend, it didn't matter. She wanted comfort. Despising Tinder for its predatory and destructive algorithms and what it does to both men and women, she chose to use a forum based dating site. Unwittingly, she would meet her death at the hands of her date. Or so it seemed. She met her supposed date, a cute guy named LazyVoyager944 (She never got to even ask his name) and was immediately enraptured by his calm, rational takes and safe demeanor. So in love with him, she had no issues with wanting to fuck on the first date since she liked him that much. (It would be revealed later that she was under the effects of Presence when she received the Embrace.)
She died that night on the 10th of April, and became something else. No longer the days of her walking under the sun, the curse of Caine in her blood. She awoke the night after with a powerful thirst, head throbbing, her date no where to be seen. She texted one of her online friends for a ride back home. Worried sick for her safety, Alicia picked her up. This would be her first feed. Alicia still thinks that Phoebe was just overjoyed to be 'rescued'.

In some respect, she did think she was above them. They lived to be desired by others, she lived the way she wanted. Or at least, the way her parents let her get away with without punishment. They had other children to care about, so grounding her in her room wasn't as much of a deterrent when she learned to climb. She liked to watch others, and found excitement in sneaking around, hearing everyone's secrets. She had childish aspirations of being like her own cat, a carefree and imperious creature who could oversee a room from her perch, watching and judging while being self-sufficient.
In truth, she was likely a privileged child who was safe enough in her suburban neighborhood to not have to conform. But even so, she would wander at night, hiding and stalking like a little feral child, climbing trees and snooping on people for the thrill of it. She saw many things while sneaking out, and was lucky to not be killed or hurt while doing so. She began finding more time to sneak out, spend more of her evenings and recess times further away, slowly building little hideaways in the trees and woods. She was always good at dealing with animals, but became more attuned to their nature the more time she spent around them.
Joining the Girl-Scouts at one point, she was ostracized even there by her peers when she took the challenge of learning survival techniques and achieving self-sufficiency in the forest seriously rather than sitting around being catty. True, she did break a girl's nose for throwing a rock at her cat one time, but still. Rachel was barely able to be friends with her peers, preferring the company of animals, which she turned into a sort of career, working as teen in a pet shop and wanting to study veterinary sciences and biology in school, which she was more or less forced to go to. At least she picked up ASL while she was a Girl Scout, and got to talk to a few apes the scientists kept captive in college. She was saddened by their captivity, and vowed to never accept life in a cage like they had.
Eventually becoming a young adult, her family thought that sending her to a girl's academy in Ohio would help finally settle her down and make her normal. All it did was get her on a bus to the National Park one day and go 'missing'. She had been originally wanting to find some quiet amongst nature, but the same night she was finding a place to sleep, she came across one who would be her Sire. She'd been stalked for a while, and having a nerve-wracking conversation with the woman that looked so wild and majestic, Rachel could barely hold back the excitement when she took an interest in her.
Embraced on a relative whim, her Sire, Cassandra, thought she'd found a diamond in the rough. A human who naturally understood the basis of what her Path entailed, more or less. She would train this Cub and bring her up into a proper Harmonist, then send her out into a pack of her own. Over the next 36 years, she did as much, and brought Rachel up into a proper huntress, a predator who could stand proud and be the eyes and ears of her pack as they claw back their influence. Soon, she got her marching orders and left the nest. To Baltimore, and to Sleepy Hollow, where her new family awaited her.

History
Easily taking to the hard and competitive work of a medical student, she saw many of her fellows either drop out or give up more than once. Farewell parties were a semi-common occurrence for their washout friends. Still, Katherine saw that even when all seemed lost, such as after a failed test or exam, there was always an opportunity to take the lessons that losing taught and use them to succeed.
Graduating salutatorian from her medical school after several years of intense training and study, she was soon approached by more than one impeccably dressed gentlemen with clipboards. Answering their questions truthfully, she was more than shocked one day receiving a phone call with instructions to report to her new job in Langley, Virginia as a surgical consultant for the CIA. The early 60's was a time period of great turmoil for Uncle Sam, and it required a long hand to guard against any future threats. She accepted out of a dutiful sense of repayment for the country sheltering her family during her youth.
After the requisite civilian bootcamp, Dr Weiss was attached to an operations unit in Brazil during the lead up to the American coup of 1964. What seemed to be a tropical vacation quickly turned into the grim realities of global politics as she discovered her purpose was to maintain the physical and mental health of the CIA operatives running missions...as well as make sure any high value captives survived enhanced interrogation long enough to divulge their secrets.
Distasteful work was still work, and justification after justification turned into scientific fascination. She became much more versed in the multitude of ways a body could be maimed, healed, weakened, or strengthened through certain treatments. The dispassion of her purpose gave her a wealth of practical knowledge.
As the months went on, her workplaces went from city centers to surrounding houses to remote settlements to a black site deep in the jungle. Here, the CIA was hunting rebel leaders that were rumored to be working with one of the deep jungle indigenous tribes. Rumored to be cannibals, the bodies that began to show up were only dismissed as scare tactics. It was only when the camp began to slowly degrade, their communications breaking, their vehicles sabotaged, their equipment destroyed that they began to truly understand how fucked they were.
Dr Weiss was sitting in her surgical lab awaiting a death by predator or soldier when the monsters hit the camp. Foul and terrifying creatures shredded what remained of the guards, but didn't touch her. Instead, they pushed and led her deep into the jungle to an abandoned ruin, where the goddess Perchta waited.
A displaced German of similar ancestry, but much older, Perchta was a Tzimisce elder that had journeyed to the dark corners of the wild world to establish a small domain far from the machinations of the Camarilla and the Sabbat. Her philosophy and quest for perfection manifested as a focus on creating beasts from men and pitting them against each other. She had been watching Dr Weiss for some time, and saw potential in her. Tasking her with repairing and healing both her former comrades before they were transmogrified, as well as the tribespeople offered to Perchta as sacrifices, Katherine once again found herself caring for those that had lost, in battle and in life. She began to soak in the despair, the defeat, the echoing gloom and sour taste that either crushed to dust or empowered for victory.
When Perchta finally decided she had earned her apotheosis, Katherine Weiss had been no more for some time. Who remained was Sandraudiga, the Maiden of Defeat. Soul-Shrouded, Bloody Trail. Companion of the broken and bested. Eventually she left her sire, as their clan was wont to do, and traveled back to her homeland. Through old connections, she discovered that officially she had never existed. She was beyond such things as family, and began to travel through the territories of Sabbat and Camarilla alike plying her craft and trade to all who would pay in favors, blood or service to the Goddess.

Sarah was a good kid in a bad place. She fell in with the wrong crowd and well addict really did run in the family because two years of her life were a blur of drugs and sex. She landed herself in court-ordered rehab after crashing her friend's car and killing two of them. It was the voice from the other side of the wall that told her she could have a better life. It asked her who she admired. The young woman answered with Markplier. He did a lot of good and brought people so much joy. The voice asked if she wanted to be like him. She said yes. The voice asked what would she do to get there, Sarah without a thought said anything.
She drank the blood offered to her then the euphoria greater than any drug she had ever ingested. After that her life became a series of lessons Voice lessons, Etiquette lessons, acting lessons, all to make her into the perfect image of a star, It was fine though because she got to cosplay for the first time in her life. She got to play the games that she watched all her life and found out she was good at them. Ms. Harmon took care of her so for her faceless faerie godmother she would do anything, even kill.

Which is perhaps why, in 1865, just three days after the American Civil War was declared over, the last living heir to survive the war was Embraced into the Lasombra clan.
Sebastien Dupré was only twenty-one years old. He was fourth son and seventh child of Fabian Dupré, the great-great grandson of Frederic. The family had grown with the empire, but the Civil War nearly wiped them out. Even though they owned slaves, when abolition came and Maryland joined the Union, they begrudgingly adhered to the new normal. His brothers were each conscripted to serve in the war while Sebastien finished his studies at the prestigious Georgetown Preparatory School, the oldest Catholic boarding school in the US.
It was there he first caught the attention of his future Sire, Vincent Duarte, though it would be a few more years before he was Embraced.
One by one, his brothers died in the war. When he graduated from Georgetown, the war was still raging, and he enrolled in Mount Saint Mary's to begin his college education. He didn't get far. When he turned twenty, the age of conscription, he was called to join the fight. By that time, he had one older brother left. Sebastien was no fool, however, and knew that he might get called to serve. He had used the time in the school to study military strategy and after proving to be a capable soldier and adroit tactician on the battlefield, was given command of a platoon.
His last older brother was killed in battle, allegedly by his own men. His father died of a breathing illness (lung cancer, though not known at the time) soon after, and his mother's health was wrecked from the stress of looking after the plantation's affairs with his sisters, who were married off after the war. When Sebastien returned from the war, he was thin and strong, and strangely calm about what he had experienced. As it turned out, he had a predilection for operating in violent, ambiguous situations, and using strategy and cunning to get results.
Vincent had ingratiated himself as a mysterious family friend that helped with the estate by seducing his grieving mother. Now that Sebastien had returned, however, she was unnecessary. She died of a mysterious anemic illness, and Sebastien was Embraced. Together, he and Vincent weathered the various storms that hit Baltimore, maintaining the Dupré empire, while also furthering the goals of the Sabbat.
Sometime during that, Sebastien outgrew his Sire. Their fallout was bloody, with Sebastien killing his Sire, and committing the act of Diablerie on him. It was bad timing, because the Camarilla took over the city. Luckily, the plantation sits just on the outside of the Baltimore domain, and Sebastien was able to form an allegiance with another pack in DC. His eyes have never quite left Baltimore, though, and he would relish the chance to help turn it back into a Sabbat-friendly domain once more.
Sebastien is known as a playboy and fashionable socialite, hosting lavish parties at Dupre Manor, and supporting causes that might hurt the Camarilla, though he has kept himself out of the Baltimore domain while they maintained power. Behind the scenes, he helps move money for the Sabbat, deals in human trafficking in order to maintain a small herd, and connives to affect both vampire and human politics. With the tobacco industry dying a slow death, they've also branched out into marijuana and illicit drugs.

Babek was no ordinary man, nor was his family normal. He was in fact Kindred and his 'family' a coterie. The Babek brood were monsters who terrorized the remote province that they claimed as their domain. Shahin witnessed many terrible things and suffered them as well. The activities of Babek and his coterie did not go unnoticed however. They drew the attention of the Banu Haqim.
But when the righteous assassins moved on Babek, they found a twelve-year old Shahin crouched over the vampire's body, a spear driven through the monster's heart.
Shahin was taken in by the Banu Haqim. The young kine was not embraced right way. He might have impressed the clan, but he had still not earned a place among them. He was taught how to read, how to write and the silent signals that the Banu Haqim used in battle. He trained, learning to fight with his hands and blades. It wasn't until sometime in his twenties that Shahin was embraced.
For the first six decades of his unlife, Shahin studied as a Fida'i under the guiding hand of his Sire and three other assassins. He remained mostly within the middle-east during this time, but when he was named a Rafiq in his own right, he was sent eastward. His travels took him to the Indian subcontinent, then back towards the west into Europe and onward into the United Kingdom.
Shanin had crossed 'the pond' when Ur-Shulgi rose from Torpor. He had never known life before the Blood Curse and perhaps given his geographical distance from the Methuselah sided with the Eayn al Hukam.
His deeds have taken him across the United States and Canada in these modern nights. His most recent 'home' is in Baltimore, MD.

Description
As the Setite blood cults proliferated without control, it was inevitable that the Sabbat who controlled the city would take action. Montreal became increasingly dangerous with 'snake-hunts' rooting out the Setites. It was during this time that Atiq was either torpored or succumbed to final death - Simon remains uncertain - but the young fledgling was forced to flee the city. He fled to Baltimore, where he had learned that his grandsire resided. But when he arrived he discovered he was in a state of torpor.
Simon settled in the northeastern outskirts of the city where he found a local temple. He built up his resources, and a cult of his own until opportunity came to Baltimore. When the Camarilla started their assault on Baltimore, Simon was finally able to awaken his grandsire. He took advantage of the situation, helping both sides of the conflict at first, but mostly he provided aid to the Camarilla.
The Setites were able to establish a small domain in the heart of the city itself, and it is in this patch of territory that Simon was able to acquire and setup a temple of his own, within the Scandal nightclub. He has since built a reputation for being able to get people what they want be they mortal or Kindred... if they are willing to pay his price.

She found a family, two sisters. Sure her older sister needed a little help out of her shell but it was nice. A real, loving, family right here in the mud. They swore to each other that nothing would get between them. Amber felt like maybe they would make it work and maybe that little kernel of something bitter in her heart would disappear. History
As he developed, he had a natural athletic ability and he was an attractive young man, his appearance something he learned to use to his benefit when trying to get his way. He was easily admitted into the new University of Warsaw in 1828, where he began studies in Linguistics. He learned Latin there, adding to his already fluent speaking of Polish from his father, French from his mother, and Deutsch as the official language of Prussia. He also gained a very healthy dislike for the Kingdom of Prussia and joined a coterie of students intent on fostering revolution to win back Poland's sovereignty.
As a young revolutionary, notice was taken by his eventual sire, Gretchen Keller. One of Tomasz's professors was the 10th generation Brujah's ghoul. Gretchen was a key part in fostering a sense of revolution in the university, and so when the November Uprising began in 1830, Tomasz was a willing participant, as well as most of the university. The uprising was crushed the next year and the university forced to shut down, believed to be central to the uprising. The ghouled professor was executed, and the loss of the ghoul inspired Gretchen to Embrace Tomasz without much forethought. They fled to the Austrian partition of Poland and took up residence near the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, where they would ghoul a new student every few years in order to learn from their studies and spread the same sense of rebellion that they had done in Warsaw.
In 1893, however, they attracted the notice of a hunters. The city's Camarilla court was decimated and those who didn't flee at the time didn't survive. Gretchen and Tomasz didn't stay, obviously.
1894 - 1946
They traveled across Europe, going to from France, to Italy, to Spain, but nowhere stuck. Tomasz wasn't just rebellious, he could be violent, enjoying the challenge of a good fight, and it was only Gretchen's protection that stopped him from being killed a few times. They wore out their welcome in most cities as soon as the local Prince began to suspect their presence was beginning to stir thoughts of revolution or reform of the Tradtions. They went to London next, where he became enamored with the combat artform of Bartitsu (call baritsu at the time due to a misspelling from a Sherlock Holmes story). Their time there was less contentious than other places as there was a decent sized population of other Brujah for Tomasz to bang knuckles with.
In the 1930s, Gretchen was killed by Sabbat, who had infiltrated the London court, and there was a massive struggle for power. At some point during all this, Tomasz committed diablerie on a Lasombra of lower generation in order to help gain the upper hand in the struggle. Only two other Kindred know of it, and one of them is currently in torpor. The strategy worked, however, and Tomasz fought and won against the Sabbat elder leading the charge to cast the Camarilla out. It was a stunning feat, and he enjoyed praise and glory while he resided in London. They called him Elder Slayer, enjoying praise and glory as the Brujah that saved London. Over time, less vampires know about it, others have won similar glories, but many elders still remember his name or know of the incident. Eventually, the Ventrue got too strong of a hold on London, and without Gretchen, he began to crave something completely different than what Europe had afforded him, finding inspiration in the new superpower that rose up after the end of WWII: America.
1947 - present
He even sired his own childe, an activist in San Francisco working on the Harvey Milk campaign. They didn't last very long, and he was turned off Embracing after, preferring to ghoul. Especially middle-aged gay men, and sometimes women, who were usually first turned on by the young, hot man, and then bound to him by his blood. It's the best way to keep a source of income and fund political pursuits in modern nights. In the 1990s, the MMA cage fighting became his new obsession for combat, and then the popularity of Fight Club created the perfect opportunity for underground fights.
The rise of social media has been insanely fun to him. He has presence on all the major platforms under the moniker "gofawkesurself" where he generally posts provocative content, calls to activism, and has used it for coordinating with other activists, sometimes hacktivists, to create statements or infiltrate and sabotage corrupt businesses. Trey Bennet was born in Frederick, Maryland, raised in a middle-class household by a single mother. The murder of his best friend in high school pushed him toward a career in law enforcement. After three years of rigorous study, he graduated with a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the University of Maryland, then entered the police academy, after 6 months becoming a full-fledged officer by 22.
At 24, Trey lost his mother to natural causes and inherited the family home in Frederick, choosing to keep it as a place for occasionally solitude and reflection.
Through sharp instincts and dedication, a senior detective took notice, and Trey became a police investigator at 26.
Four years later, during a brutal murder case, Trey found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Chasing a lead alone, he encountered something far darker than he expected. In the chaos, he was embraced by his sire, who vanished soon after. Late one night, after a quick conversation with the Lieutenant he disappeared from his former life as a police investigator. Left with no guidance, Trey used his inheritance and savings to maintain the family home.
Eventually, he was tracked by the Tremere Clan and marked as a rogue embrace. Upon closer examination, his insight and connection to local law enforcement was deemed too useful to waste and he was thus integrated into the Tremere Clan.

The first decade or so was a blur; frantic hiding and scrambling, gleaning what information he could by eavesdropping on other denizens of the night. But by the turn of the second, he'd become fairly adept at navigating the darkness of the city, building amicable relations with those in the underground and establishing himself as a non-threat to the community at large.
Voss built up a positive reputation with the local homeless, using them both as a source of food and camouflage. He has maintained a symbiotic relationship, providing those in his circle with food, blankets, and other necessities he swipes.
He has since wandered freely, keeping out of the way while watching the goings-on. Little has been accomplished in decades, beyond the honing of his senses and skills. Rarely does he involve himself in anything, unless requested or pressured by those he cannot refuse.
Vesper Fiona Omerta II
Overview
Coming from Washington DC, Vesper was sent to Baltimore to sort out the enemies of the Sabbat; Her sect have been pushed into the outskirts of Kindred society and she must take back the city. As a devout Bishop for the Sword of Caine, she values strength of character in her peers and her subordinates.
She sees every kindred not of her pedigree as children, but not in a derogatory manner. Potential can be teased and brought out of the best of the best and this intrigues Vesper so much with her younger kin.
Seen as a honorary mom to many, many Sabbat packs back in her day and into the modern nights, she takes pride in that most of her choices that kept her alive were due to her will and the strength of her subordinates. Without them, she is powerless, without her, they are useless.
Preferring to tell stories, and run the occasional tabletop session with friends, her life of a doting mother is drawing to a close. Favors need to be called upon, kindred blood must be shed and heads need to roll for the good of the Sabbat. And they are in a uphill battle. Are her efforts going to be enough to turn the tide, or will it just delay the inevitable fate the enemies of Caine have already dealt to them?

History
Victor's youth was spent nearly almost entirely on his family's farm except for school and the occasional dance or fair in town. And despite his humble lot in life managed to catch the eye of a few of the marriage minded ladies. One of whom finally became the girl he would propose to, Lillian Moseby. But before they could marry, Victor was called to fight for his country just before his 21st birthday. He'd never been more than 20 miles away from home, and within the span of a day found himself on both a train and then a ship headed across the ocean to Europe.
War was hell. Victor saw and heard things even slaughtering animals hadn't prepared him for. But he also saw beautiful things. And he felt it only fair to take some of those things given what he had been through.
Victor's journey home took him through the city of Manhattan. Never in his life had he even imagined such a glorious place. There was even a building 60 stories tall, it made him dizzy just to look up at it. He found out all of the most well known and well-to-do people were involved in business and something called the stock market. Victor was determined to learn all about it.
But not Lillian. She had no interest in life in the big city, even less in the ill-begotten goods Victor planned to use for a nest egg. Victor however was not going to let some minor setback get in the way of his dream.
At 23 Victor enrolled in Harvard Business School, a place he had been told was where all great men of business got their education. Victor thrived here. When other students were off at mixers and imbibing in illegal hooch, Victor was hard at work studying every nuance of finance and business. It was here that Victor met Robert Helmsley, the man who would change his life more than any other.
Mr. Helmsley liked the way Victor kept his nose to the grindstone, how he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and come from nothing to be at Harvard. Mr. Helmsley was even more impressed when he learned where Victor had actually gotten his tuition money from.
At 30, Victor began to truly work in earnest for Mr. Helmsley and his brokerage firm. With the help of Mr. Helmsley, Victor quickly made a name for himself and rose through the ranks. This certainly raised some eyebrows around the office. And Victor raised his own eyebrow when Mr. Helmsley offered Victor his blood.
Then the Francis Scott Key Bridge incident happened. Baltimore had been the main port for Victor's arms smuggling and human trafficking. Now that was gone, and would remain gone for a decade or more. It would take months or even years to establish new underlings that turned a blind eye. And there seemed to be one cause for such a blatant act of destruction: the Anarchs. These unruly cast-offs needed to be brought back under the leash of the Camarilla.

History
Viorel was born into a family of modest fortune and wealth that ruled over a small farming village in the Victorian England. In this situation he was granted a decent education, large dwellings, good food and a loving family. Growing up, his favourite phrase was ‘we therefore commit this body to the ground, earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life.’ It was a phrase that promised rest, hope and longevity in spirit.
Going to church he found a woman foreign to the land and clearly of some wealth. He grew fascinated with her and often approached her to talk. She seemed witty and cunning with the most enrapturing stories. This lady was Lady Graçia Baltierra, a noblewoman from Spain who was exploring the world and in particular, churches. Hungry for knowledge and enraptured, Viorel at age 14 cared not for much else so when the offer came to accompany her on a religious journey back to Spain, he was thrilled. With the blessing of his parents, he sailed away where he began undertaking proper and true religious studies in the sanctuary of San Julián de los Prados, Oviedo, Spain. His fluency of multiple languages lent well for the boy as he could translate and transcribe for those who didn’t quite understand. This ended up further capturing the eyes of those who looked over the place and they began training him in the art of transcribing which Viorel took quickly to. Given a task, he worked tirelessly to complete it much to the pleasure of those residing over him.
After two years, he decided to return home and to celebrate, his family decided to venture to a nearby cave for cave tourism. Life had other plans for him as a cave-in occurred killing his parents right in front of him Fearing for his own safety, he ran out of the cave and in the shock, returned to their home and began writing letters and notices. His aunt, sister to his mother, and her family came a month later. Her husband and their coddled son, not much younger than Viorel, came over but paid no heed to Viorel in his mourning which was fuelled into writing stories.
Feeling no love in the home filled with memories, he left again to return to Spain. A few years later, he was informed that a storm swept through his old home, ruining livestock, farmland, houses and the church still in mid construction. Not long after that there was news of sickness that took the life of his cousin. He had no heart for them despite messages of empathy from scripture and instead laughed like a madman. Sickness soon took the rest of his family and although he could have left the church to return to govern it, he didn’t. There was a greater purpose to be fulfilled. The village fell to ruin and Viorel threw himself deeper and deeper into the depths of his studies.
There for him was Graçia. She called him Childe and Embraced him for remaining devoted to his scripts and holy path despite the challenges thrown his way and orchestrated by herself. Any sense of happiness he felt growing up as a human was extinguished and replaced with calculating cruelty. During this time, he gave himself the name Dimitru Cornuta as a penname.
As a Neonate, Viorel continued writing but ventured away from Christianity towards the Abyss. It was both comforting and harsh; anything to cope with unlife that subconsciously clawed at him. It took him briefly back home in the early 1910s where he spent most of WW1 and WW2 with fellow Lasombra before moving to America. Along the way he somehow picked up a black cat named Fawn who has been ghouled, lives with him and minds her own business.

So yeah, the rumors about her being an ex-hunter are true. She was one of them once, and still has a fond spot for mortals, who risk their lives to hunt the supernatural.
Vixa, or rather Albina Ambroza, was born in 1969 in Poland to a small family of three: Bianka, Hubert, and Jacek. Her father, Hubert, was known as "Bright Heart" among the hunters due to his kind-hearted nature and inability to give up on people. Strangely, this often worked out in his favor. When it didn't, Bianka usually stepped up as she was a much more capable fighter.

- The Spiders are Always Watching - a normal night, a bartending time, with a bit of drama as it usually comes. Who would've thought that night Isaac and Vixa would meet by pure happenstance. His attention caught by her silly dance moves, and the offish aura. The silly pup stood out so much, clearly not used to people. She ended up inviting him for a chat, which turned into a learning experience - a social game soon leading to Isaac's breakdown. Then came a tarot game, reading the past, a glance at Vixa's past. And that of her friends. What a wonder, what fun it was, when another shift came - an intimate fun between the two. A cute little fiend, a succubus seducing Isaac, and finally when the goodbye's came, Vixa broke down - overwhelmed by the past. Worried for Isaac who, in some ways, reminded her of Matas, whom she lost. A pleasant meeting ending on a sad note for at least one of them.
- Owl Stretching Time - Many coincidences lead to kindred meeting in the rain. Much conversation is held in a park bathroom.
- A New Customer! - Kokoro decided to visit a bar, unwind after recently settling in the city. In turn meeting Vixa behind the counter. A chat about what drink to order ensued, then some stories were mentioned, and finally the drink was served with a tarot card. The latter terrified Kokoro, who immediately thought Vixa was no normal mortal. It was a trick. A threat! And with that in mind, she swiftly, paying for the drink, fled the scene
- A Lonely Ride, Until We Meet Again - A special day. A day of mourning. Vixa takes her motorcycle for a ride to a secluded cemetery on the outskirts of town to honor a lost friend. Reflecting on her past, the wandering, and the pain, she kneels by a tree and lights a vigil. She allows herself a moment to cry and let it all out, reminiscing and pondering past mistakes and regrets. Sharing with her long-gone friend what has changed since then, she finally bids a heartfelt farewell. Until they meet again.
- A Flyer for a Friend - Vixa visits her friend, gets spooked a little, but delivers a flyer for a gym she got specifically for Brock. A gentle jab at him, although he misunderstood her intentions at first. Sad news were mentioned (a story for another time). In the end they had a drink, and a couple rounds of Mortal Combat on PlayStation. Most of them ending in her loss.
- The Meeting - Vixa and Isaac meet and chat. Vixa leads Isaac to her place, where they play a game that falls apart as Isaac begins to crumble. With Spidey's help, Vixa manages to pull him out of the messy situation. In the end, Isaac asks to stay for the night, and Vixa agrees. What follows is a bit of fun, and finally, sleep.
- Riots in the Park - Riot squad puts on an impromptu show in the park, stuff happens man, do I really need to? okay, fine. Sera meets up with Enzo, they have a chat and head off | Tora explores and ends up talking to (struggling to understand Darrus, Vixa joins them. Something Comes up and Tora has to leave. | Tomasz gets to meet Cindy, the weird eyes in the sky nossy. He says something that he would say, Thomas who is listening gets pissed and pushes for a fight. Cindy, Thomas, Tomasz, and Julien exit scene for side scene | Jason checks out the show, side steps scene to enter secondary (tertiary) scene with Julien and Tomasz. | Zazuka sets up shop to sell drug blood, drood. blug.
- An Old Tree, A Familiar Presence, A Familiar Face - Two kindred meet under a tree. They talk. They decide to have a training session. Favors will be owed.

- Next Evening, What Comes After - The next evening, Vixa wakes up first to the sound of her alarm, which she forgot about. Shortly after, Isaac wakes up, staggering out of bed and hitting a bookshelf before curling up beneath it, screaming. Suffering. No matter what Vixa tries to do, she can't help him. After a moment, he calms down and they talk. He reveals that he relives his Embrace every night upon waking. Their conversation shifts to his gift (the only sane Malkavian, or so he believes) and the cobweb as Isaac pulls her back into bed with obvious intentions that she doesn't mind. Curious, Vixa poses a question, spurring Isaac to set a goal for himself: to find a way to add her to the web someday. After their fun, Vixa becomes clingy and moody, confusing Isaac, but he tries to be kind and caring, despite wondering why he allows himself to become entwined with her. Questioning why he needs her. In the end Vixa sees him off to the bus.
- Drama Recovery - a complicated matter. A secret revealed. A loved one's support. Both ways.
- The Ritual, The Wolf, and a Fuck Ton of Pizza - a long wait for a friend that didn't come. Perhaps for the better. Sucks the pizza might go to waste, but at least she can spend some more time with Isaac without the drama...

Zazuka's mother knew what was going to happen to her kind-hearted daughter so in the dead of night she gave Zazuka a backpack full of clothes and the money she had made through babysitting and drove her to a church. Her mother had been meeting with them in secret for about a month and finally got approved. Even though she was older, she was putting Zazuka in foster care. "Be well and may God guide you." She said before seeing her for the last time. Zazuka spent several years in and out of homes, each taking a little bit of her trust with them.
She finally aged out of the system and was allowed to make a life for herself. Even then she didn't stay in one place too long. While she had learned to make money any way she could, she just never felt at home in any one place. This was good because there were some that wanted her to join a commune but she was better off going from place to place. This is what caught the eye of a woman called Rain. She too was in a part of the hippie movement and taught Zazuka all about just living off the land and letting nature guide her where she needed to go. Peace and love became Zazuka's whole existence.
Rain wanted a companion and this young flower fit the bill. One night she bit Zazuka and then explained to her that she was part of her family now. At first, Zazuka was horrified but soon learned what the world at night had in store for her. She could keep her bus and still move from city to city. She learned the ways of the Ravnos clan, who where nomadic in nature. She assumed that Rain got bored of her because she never saw her friend again. She mourned the loss of that friendship but not for long.
She found a Gangrel injured in the woods as she was picking mushrooms to make into one of her remedies. She fixed him up as well as she could and fed him some of the blood she had with her (not her own). It was when she saw her talking to some of the animals, the crows bringing her herbs and shiny stones that they thought she would like. He started traveling with her and Zazuka was happy to have the company, soon falling in love with the beast of a man. Her mind got so wrapped up in him that she couldn't imagine her unlife without him to an obsessive degree.
